i personally have my nipples pierced...damn that was some major pain. but i like to play with them, and so does my gf

I've gone through quite a few piercings. Some just for the fact that my piercer wanted more pictures for his portfolio and some that I actually wanted. Right now I have:

Left ear: 1 lobe (10 gauge), 1 industrial (12 gauge)
Right ear: 1 lobe (10 gauge)
Septum
Labret
Tongue Webbing
Nipples

At one point in time I had reverse lobe piercings in each ear, the webbing underneath my top lip, tongue, a vertical industrial, and a few other misc ear piercings.

Unfotunately I've never had my bellybutton done, but from what I've heard it's not all that bad especially if you take really good care of it.

As for pain, nipples were definitely the worst followed closely by my industrial/vertical industrial, then i'd probably have to say my septum. Tongue webbing was definitely the least pain of them all. Hope this helps ya hzl as well as anybody else who's thinking of putting an extra hole or two in themselves!

Wow, that's a lot of piercings. What is tongue webbing? I've never heard of it. Also, do you have any pictures of yours?

The tongue webbing looks like it'd really hurt. Did the industrial hurt just like regular cartilage piercing or is it different? I've had my cartilage done twice. I let it close the first time, had it redone, and then for my last surgery they made me take it out...so it closed up again. Ah well, I guess it just wasn't supposed to be. (Besides, every time I'd go to get my hair cut, the girls would always snag it with the brush and it would HURT!)

well...there are a lot more nerve endings in the hole closer to your face. therefore it hurts quite a bit more than just a regular cartilage piercing. i think mine took about 3-4 months before the pain was nearly gone. it's a great piercing and i think it looks great on people...it's just a little bit on the painful side.

as for my tongue webbing...i actually didn't even feel him pierce it. it was pretty amazing. i just had to get used to the feeling of always having something like a kernel of corn underneath my tongue.

i'm always willing to answer questions on piercings, so keep 'em comin!

also...if you're going to get ANYTHING pierced (besides lobes) get it done by a professional piercer with a needle.

piercing guns == BAD!!

When I had my cartilage done, I just went to like a little shop and they used a gun. I didn't know they could do it without one. Yeah, duh, I know. lol Thanks for answering all my questions. I appreciate it. I'm just hoping that if I really decide to do it, that i don't wuss out. Heehee

yes. professional piercers are good. personally i think belly button piercings are sexy on girls *IF* they have a decent stomach, i.e. not hanging over their pants. otherwise, pierce something that draws attention away from body parts you are not comfortable with, perhaps another ear piercing or small stud in the nose. piercings used to be really cool a few years ago, but now I feel they should be more *tasteful* and stylish than loud and obnoxious.

I had my nipples pierced, and I don't think your belly button will hurt nearly as much. So I say go for it!!
