Ok I'm stable and low temp (33-35C) at stock voltages @ 1.5Ghz (143Mhz Bus), but it refuses to boot at 150Mhz even with the memory (Crucial CAS2 PC133) backed down to 3-3-3-7/9, should I push the voltage up a hair? Scavenge some of those 5ns PC166 mushkin sticks?

What do you do hot shot?

I had the P3-S 1.26Ghz... and it topped out at 160fsb it wasnt 100% stable... plus when it crashed it would take my HD data with it since there was no PCI/AGP lock. Lots of things can be holding you back... videocard doesnt like the overspec AGP?

I'll put the money on the RAM, but you're pushing that CPU pretty hard as it is.

Thanks, I did some dumpster diving to get that proc, but the rest came from an old rig I had around the place, just seeing where I could go with it before actually putting it to work. Not a whole lot of info on the Tutalin -S's, most people were just running up the clocks on 1.2 Celerons and such. My boss about passed out when he found out what our IT manager had put in the "old and outdated" section of storage. Its going to have a grand life running a little departmental server.

I love those tualatins... Never gave me any problems.

But the clips on my Asus board broke... and it wasn't practical anymore to buy a $50 motherboard for a p3 since CPUs were going over 2GHz back then.

I've OC'ed about 5 or 6 of 1.4-S's on ST-6's and have had one or two that wouldn't make it past 147-148MHz no matter what I tried. I was using the Rev2+ (or whatever it was called) Mushkin RAM. The ones that would get to 150MHz would do it on default Vcore, the ones that wouldn't make it, wouldn't make it even with additional Vcore.
