I'm about ten hours in, with a full party of level 2 and 3 characters.
What I like :
- you can create companions at an inn, instead of only having the choice of premade ones
- the disengage mechanic makes battle more tactical; you just can't run by someone, you might get 'stuck' fighting them.
- Loot all bodies in a small area at once
- graphics are nice
- it's not D&D, but similar with new things
- varied mobs so far, with some being able to teleport to your back row, so different tactics are needed
- no poison; it's 'sickness' and wears off pretty quickly
- Stash you can use anywhere
- crafting you can do anywhere, and use things from the stash without removing them
What I'm not sure of :
- Endurance is king. 99% of the time my characters are knocked out instead of killed; having nearly full health, but no endurance. Just feels strange.
- No XP for killing mobs, only quest rewards
- no arrows/bolts
- there don't seem to be any healing spells, only Endurance spells. The only way to regain health is to sleep, and you can only sleep with 'camping supplies' which you are limited to 4 to carry
- You can use any weapon on any character, and 2H weapons are by far the best. My Rogue backstabs and fights with a 2H Halberd. With a dagger he may hit for 20 on a backstab and 1-5 while attacking, with a Halberd he can backstab for 40+ and hits regularly for 15+.
What I don't like :
- Stealth is party-based. You can't keep your Rogue in stealth for a backstab if another character comes out of stealth. Terrible mechanic.
Overall really enjoying it.
