Pills that will help me sleep

what are some household medications that will help me sleep? i.e. - nyquil

I like melatonin the best. It is available in the vitamin section of your local drugstore. Melatonin is the hormone your body naturally uses to regulate sleep, and I find melatonin is the best sleep supplement. It really knocks you out, but does not give you a "hangover" at all.

Do any of these affect REM sleep? I find that whenever someone wakes me up during my precious REM, I feel sleepy for most of the day, even if I got 8+ hours that day.

will any of these knock me out so much that i wont be able to get up for class? i usually sleep til about 2 and i have to be up at 1130-1145 to get to my class

if you take unisom you will wake up with a nasty hang over. I took one once because I could not sleep, I fell asleep an hour later and I woke up 15 hours later feeling like crap.

I have tried Melatonin and it doesn't effect me at all, don't even feel groggy.

The best and safest way for me is to smoke a bowl or 2. If that isn't your style then, I sometimes take 1.5x the recommended dosage of Nyquil and BAM im out.

Yeah, my doc told me it has no effect on some people. I know it puts me on my ass, and my doc recommends it.

i feel like it works...like 15% on me... could be placebo

and also that i dont remember to take it until 4am when im bored and really tired
