Their greatest years were between 1969 and 1979. Anything after that is crap and anything before that is developmental and crude IMO.

I think PF is one of those bands everyone and their momma says they like and kicks ass when talking about old bands to sound cool. Yes I do like them and have a few of their albums(Echoes, Animals, Momentary Lapse of reasoning, The Wall, DSOTM, Pulse, Division Bell and Wish You Were Here). A lot of their tunes on most of their albums are just not that good imo. They have quite a few good ones don't get me wrong, but a lot of crap as well. What do you think?

I used to have an entire Pink Floyd Discography, but that was too much. Now I only listen to 4 or 5 albums and Pulse, the live concert.
One of the great bands IMO, but a lot of their stuff is a bit out there.
You don't have to try so hard. We can accept people as they are.Originally posted by: alkemyst
I didn't know Pink's last name was Floyd...I will have to look for those albums of her's....

I agree, AC/DC sucks and the lead singer is as bad if not worse than the one from Rush

First you don't like Pink Floyd, but you own a staggering number of albums. Most people who don't like a band's music usually don't spend money on them, let alone buy EIGHT of their albums.
Next, you don't like AC/DC, one of the cornerstone bands in the history of rock and roll. How many AC/DC albums do you own? All of them?
Do you just make it a habbit of not liking what nearly everyone else likes just for the sake of being different?
Melty said it best. Troll troll troll your boat...

something is very very wrong with you.
While I'll agree most of their albums I can't shit through and enjoy every song... but every album I can pick a few songs and be so happy. Many of their songs I still consider some of the greatest music I've ever heard compiled. They have the ability to produce so many different styles of sounds, and do it so wonderfully.
To not like the band is one thing, but to say they are overrated is just blasphemy. Respect the talent, enjoying said talent isn't required.

Blashpemy I say! Pink Floyd broke some major ground back in the day and they still kick ass.
Without them, what would all the stoners listen to?
That being said, I love Floyd, but a lot of their earlier stuff I just don't get at all.

The Doors are insanely overrated. Never understood the appeal. Even though I do not like Zeppelin or Pink Floyd, I can sort of see why people might like them, not so with The Doors.
KT
The Doors deal was mixing poetry into music. I personally don't like them, but Jim Morrison's talent was painting imagery with lyrics.
Led Zeppelin is not overrated. NOBODY did what they did with rock music at that time. They invented heavy metal and the "light and shade" composition method so often used to this day. Their first 6 albums are classics. Unfortunately the excess of 70's rockstar living took it's toll, and by around 1975, they were shells of their former selves. Jimmy Page did not fully recover from his various drug/alcohol additions until the late 1990's, which is a shame because of all those years he's wasted.

Such an idea should end ~7th grade for most rational cognitive thinkers.

Maybe the acoustics in the bathroom make it sound bad?

Well, he wrote poetry, so what should you call him?

Your face is overrated!
But seriously, no, they are awesome and deserve most of the acclaim they've gotten.
