Pioneer 120s

Managed to break my 5yo Pioneer 72x CD-ROM...it had a good run, but managed to slam the tray with my knee and essentially kill it.

I know that Pioneer used to offer slot load CD-ROMs, and after doing some searching online, I found a model number for a Pioneer slot load DVD-ROM: 120S

The problem is I cant seem to find this model among the usual suspects of computer component online stores...and I have never seen one in a retail chain.

Do any slot-load DVD-ROMs, Pioneer or otherwise, exist?

I still have my Pioneer 120S slot-load dvd-drive, I probably used it about 10 times total until I got my current NEC dvd-rw.

Perhaps they don't make slot-load drives anymore?

I already have a DVD+/-RW Plextor tray load drive. I was hoping to compliment it with a slot loading DVD-ROM...I know Plextor makes the slot load +/-RW drive, but I dont require two DVD burners in the same machine.

I haven't seen any slot load drives in awhile. My friend has a Pioneer slot load DVD-ROM drive but I don't even know if he's using it anymore. You should put an ad in the FS/FT forum saying you're looking for a slot load drive. Other than that, you might be paying a premium if you do find a slot loading drive online.
