anyone currently playing this game???
I'm debating over myself if i should start playing or not.
How is this game?
And how much is the monthly fee?

The game itself is about $50, the lowest I've seen for a 30 day timecard is $14.99. That puts it in WoW territory in terms of fees, but WoW can be found for $10-20 nowadays. I've heard the beta wasn't very impressive so for it to be competitive I think they'd have to at least try to undercut Blizzard's fees.

I played the beta. It's a fun game, with two gigantic exceptions:
1. Traveling a long distance is completely unfun and a PITA.
2. The learning curve is a 90 degree cliff.

14.99 is a pretty standard monthly rate for an MMO.

I got it the day it came out. The sea combat is spectacular but the game can die in a fire until they completely rework avatar combat and towns. Its like stepping back in time through a timemachine built from a korean free mmo boxes. Also, they tried to reduce lag that games such as EVE-Online have with blobs. Their instances and server resets have created NEW problems to the PVP model that honestly make it uninspiring.

At some point when the game is more mature I think you will see people gravitate to a race that holds the server the longest which will mean PVP will eventually destroy itself or become carebear driven.

They got a few years of work to go before its decent.
