And I agree that you get what is coming to you if you act like some of the fans at the game did tonight. That being said, you don't walk away scott-free from an incident like this. If you get in a fight at a bar and the cops bust you, you are headed to jail. Why is this any different?

Artest was provoked. S. Jackson went up to the stands looking for someone to punch. That's what it looked like on the video.

Jackson went after the guy that threw a drink at them while they were in the stands.

Next time you watch the clip, pay attention to the fan that Artest first goes after. As Artest is making his way into the stands, the fan looks like he's talkin' sh1t. Then when the fan realizes that Artest is targetting him, he gets this goofy/scared look on his face... priceless

If anything, whenever a fan went toe to toe with a Pacer they got knocked the fsck out. Jermaine Oneal, connects with a sliding punch that sends that fat fsck down for the count. Stephen Jackson, throws a clothesline punch and totally decks a Piston fan. Artest squares up with a Piston fan and decks him right in the face. No matter how you look at it, the Pistons got beat tonight.

Did you see their fans tonight? What else would expect them to post. The fights totally rests on the shoulders of Wallace and b!tch detroit fans

Maybe so. I can't be absolutely certain that isn't the case. I'm probably watching the same videos and ESPN recaps as you are, but earlier in the clip, Jackson was ready to fight a Piston before the beer started flying, so I believe he was in the fighting mood tonight. And while stuff was being thrown about everywhere, it all started with Artest as the target, and Jackson wasn't the target, and if you look closely, Jackson doesn't go after the guy Artest is trying to fight. Again, there were many people throwing stuff at everyone, but from that video, it looks like Jackson was just looking for a fight.

Oh yeah, and I was feeling bad for O'neal until I saw him deliver a nice straight to an unsuspecting fan. While I don't condone violence by either party, if I were to choose the Punch of the Day, his would be it.

I can't believe anyone would blame this on Artest. How did he cause a fan to throw a beer at him by not fighting with Big Ben? I still think that the NBA needs to be lenient on the players, because let's face it, they're trying to do their job and anyone, no matter who it is, would do the same thing in the same situation.
