I was at the game, but left after the 3rd quarter. :| Figures. Awesome seats too. 2nd row on the floor across from the Pistons bench.

Man, I couldn't believe what was happening when I saw it.....I think a lot of Pacers are going to be suspended for attacking fans....and there will be a huge legal mess.

Was it him, though? It looked like he had a cup in his hand when Artest tried to punch him. Anybody has a clip?

in purchasing the tix for the game, do u think there is some sort of legal disclaimer that protects the nba and it's players in situations like this? if there isn't, there probably will be soon.

I think you will see more fines and suspensions on the Pacers side than the Pistons, just because the you can't do anything to the fans.

I didn't see any of it but I do wonder if the fans can press criminal charges against the players.. The NBA has no jurisdiction when it involves people who are not on their payroll

Our local news is reporting that it was not the guy that threw a beer at him.

they can get the arena management to press charges of those caught on tape/film.

The players have a right to sue fans that swung at them first as well. Either way, this whole situation is totally f'ed up.

i have ZERO respect for the PISTONS, BEN WALLACE, and all their pussy ass fans.

:disgust:

What did the Pistons or Ben Wallace do? Wallace felt like Artest was taking liberites with him and how he fouled him. He was just standing up for himself.

If you want to blame anyone, blame the fans and Artest/Jackson.

And do you see everyone instigate a riot when they are flagrantly fouled? hell no.

Flagrant fouls are a part of the game dude. Not a reason to get all pissy and pummle players with beer and beer bottles. Wallace is a "professional" boo fricken whoo.

The fans were throwing sh!t at players and coaches not even involved....asshats. you can't deny that.

Sure, flagrant fouls are a part of the game. Wallace took exception with how he was fouled and pushed Artest. That was all Wallace was guilty of.

And I agree that the fans were completely out of line. But that doesn't give an NBA player the right to climb into the stands and start throwing punches.

yeah, that was completely retarded. why'd he jump up there and just start throwing blows? pissed sure but he should have just drug artest out.

Because he was looking for a fight. Look at how he was acting during the aftermath of the foul. Artest was laying on the scorer's table and Jackson was trying to bow up to the entire Pistons team. He wanted to fight someone, and as soon as he saw what was going down in the stands, he decided he would join in.

lol u think they're going to suspend them for the rest of the season? This is the NBA... it's a miracle that no one was killed (yet). I wouldn't of been surprised if Jackson pulled out a gun and Artest started rapping.

At least now he'll have some time off to promote his album though

Assualt and battery...sure pushes the envelope doesn't it.

no nba player should ever have to deal with physical UNPROVOKED attacks from fans. DESPICABLE, completely.
