I think you're being reasonable, as long as it's only barking as much as you say it is.

Sorry, your dog should not be barking continuously no matter what time it is. It may seem reasonable to you, since you aren't home to hear it. But if you had to live next door, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like it either.
Your neighbor may be a PITA and a grouch, but that doesn't relieve you of the responsibility of not having your dog barking all the time.
<-- was in the same boat as your neighbor once
Judging by your user name, you don't have much tolerance. I think if you want complete silence and a peaceful, noise-free environment around your home, you should buy some acreage where you can get that. You sould not be living in a neighborhood where your house is 15 feet from your neighbors.

So because I have a job and go to school like the majority of the US, I shouldn't have a dog?

no. dont pay any attention to those who say if you cant keep your dog quiet you dont deserve to own a dog. thats like saying if you cant keep a baby from crying, you dont deserve to have a baby. dogs bark. thats what they do. but know that if a dog's barking 50%+ of the time you are gone...then thats not normal and is a problem. Try videotaping you dog to see how often it barks. and maybe seeing if your neighbor is doing something to cause the dog to bark.
other than that, the petsmart training should help.
best of luck
PS. any more pics of your dog?

no,what people are saying is that your dog and your neighbors shouldn't have to suffer because you work and go to school.

I see your point, I do have a responsibilty to do as much as possible to be courteous to my neighbors (or at least I feel like I should) but I am frustrated because the problem mainly exists when we are away during the day. My other neighbor works (like us) and thus we have no beef.
