I guess the "Bad Intel" guy didn't clear it up enough

On Saturday (Dec. 31), Teigen tweeted that she was “pretty disturbed” after being accused by self-proclaimed investigative writer Liz Conkin of playing a role in the Pizzagate theory. Earlier in the week, Conkin tweeted photos to her some 50,000 followers of the married couple’s 1-year-old daughter, Luna, dressed as Alice in Wonderland, a hot dog and a pineapple, suggesting that the couple is somehow involved in the human trafficking ring.

“Apparently dressing my daughter as Alice in Wonderland and a hot dog and having a pizza emoji on Snapchat has to do with pizzagate and being uhhhh darksided. Holy shit That thread is wild. Enjoy,”

Make a strong case that the government is conducting secret experiments on the public

Secret experiments to turn them into paranoid idiots who believe in ridiculous conspiracy theories? I could almost believe that one. There must be some explanation for this mass hysteria.

Lack of a secular education? People who go to religious schools are sheltered in every way and when they become exposed to the real world look out.

I saw two of the PG warriors have issues in their past with sex crimes against kids (or maybe just allegations). I'm sure there's nothing weird going on in that rabbit hole.

This entire issue is a perfect example of the cancer that has taken over the GOP base.

It is but the most ridiculous of thousands of unfounded conspiracy fables believed by the core of this party.

From science denial, false flag claims, Obama's religion, Obama's birthplace, illuminutty, derp state to myriad Clinton conspiracies that would make them bigger and deadlier than any crime organization if true and involve tens of thousands of people.

It all absolutely defies logic and reason. And yet, like any cult, the base buys into many, if not all of these demonstrably untrue fables and sees no problem with ignoring the insanity of those they don't buy into.

This is a prime example of the GOP base today. It has been primed to believe the most insane bullshit just like a cult by first telling them everyone else is lying to them.

Decades of right wing conspiracy theory mind rot is the answer. It's not the govt but the people who are trying to tear down the govt of the people, make it into the govt of the rich, for the rich & by the rich.

True, yet there are plenty of people on the left who also believe in conspiracy theories. It isn't merely a function of political propaganda. It's what happens when people who have no critical thinking skills are given access to the internet.

Wow.

One represents the entire base and main media outlets catering to them, and the other the fringe far outside the main base.

But yeah, totally the same right? :::massivefuckingeyeroll:::

I didn't say the same. But polling does show that belief in conspiracy theories is common on both sides. They tend to accept different conspiracy theories. I think there is a lack of critical thinking in general.

Yes, that's exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about. So many reckless accusations of rigged elections coming from the right. People on the left need to not be following that example.

Usually these people are very fond of defending Trump. See: Bernie concern trolls on these very forums. "I voted Bernie, now here is why I believe Trump is right, don't mind me throwing"

Interesting how all of the devout Trumptards here never voted for Trump lol

wait a minute. I went to religious schools. I am no more sheltered than anyone else.

I've seen plenty of it in my day.

I started out at Pensacola Christian which is run under strict Baptist ideology and I hated it. Even as a child I could see that something was terribly wrong and those young minds are being shaped by it. They are creating generations of new Republicans there.

People do that on other forums to "I own that watch which means I can now proceed to trash the brand".

Of course they they don't need to state they voted Bernie or the shedevil uh I mean Hillary to do it either. There is one member I can think of who posts here and all he ever does is make posts that support trump and the Republican party without ever explicitly stating it.

Drives me nuts. I had to Put him on my ignore list I was going to get abusive. Again.

its weird for me. i started in public school, and my parents got into christianity when i was 2. we moved to a city when i was 12, and they home schooled me for a year, then a small christian school for 5. it was terrible, moving from that to a city college was challenging. i lost my way for a couple years...and now have a differet outlook on life. many of the people i went to church and school are still into that stuff...some just nutters now.

even at a young age, like yourself, you can see and feel theres just something not quite right. ignoring pieces of biblical text amd championing others.

now, as a father, my sons dont have any of that. i teach them accpetance, logic, and what faith is all about. my wife brings them to a small town church where we live, which is a far cry from the indoctrination tactics used in the churches i attended (assemblies of god)....

i go once a year during the holidays, and we discuss what the holidays are really about.

I could see and feel the hate they possessed which is not of God. I felt oppressed by it and was very happy to attend public school. The bottom line is that they've monetized the gospel for personal enrichment - the very same thing that Jesus picked up a bullwhip for and drove them out of the temple. Today modern Christianity will sell anything gospel related to turn a profit. Jesus warned of the great falling away (apostasy) and that no man can serve two masters in that he would love the one and hate the other. The modern church loves money first plain and simple.

I remember attending church in my younger days and there was always a big to do over race which I was offended by. No preacher should be making a spectacle over the different people's in attendance. The more diversity the better as tolerance will abound. I see too much willful segregation at church which is not the way its supposed to be. I also raised my sons to just see people and to have respect for them which they do.

I also see something that I call economic racism and can't stand it when a rich person talks down to me because they perceive that I am not a man of similar means. Each time its happened to me the perp was a rich white person but I'm sure that anyone with wealth can behave the same way.

My parents deny they are racist but if you listen to them long enough it will shine through like a beacon and if you point it out they will deny it but the evidence is very clear. They always have negative things to say about black people, especially democrats, yet have nothing but tolerance when a republican does something wrong. Double standards all the way. I'm glad that their ideas were like water off a duck's back for me.

It must be fun to feel so superior. You get to look down your nose at those of lessor intellect, sneer at the ignorant rubes wallowing in misinformation (lets face it, we all enjoy a good sneer now and then). At the same time, it must be painful when those same uneducated fools refuse to accept that you're better than them, then go on to make bad decisions that leave you facing the fact of your impotence.
