Plane Question with Carry On

Is it allowable to bring a backpack to hold laptops with a carry on bag? This is not a laptop briefcase bag, but one that has two straps.

I always bring on a duffel bag and a backpack. Backpack under the seat, duffel bag overhead.

But it also depends on if your plane will be taking off from a treadmill or not.

They will check your bag anyway. Some flights allow up to 2 carry on items. For examples ladies can have their purse and another bag. Dont see why a backpack would be a problem.

I hate people that bring carry on bags they are always too big. Just fly in sweat pants and no bags like regular people.

Haha thats true too with the limited squeeze space you have. That and you may be stuck in the middle waiting for the guy to get his stuff from below and above.

I hate checking in baggage, waiting to pick it up, deal with lost baggage and like having my laptop/tablet/etc to use when I'm flying. Carry on baggage is the only way I'll go unless it's an extended trip.

I traveled a bit the last couple of years, I've switched to only one large carryon bag. I have this:

Stuff to use on the plane is stored in a way that I can blindly pull them out from the pouches while the bag is stowed overhead.

Yes, as long as the backpack can fit underneath the seat. I normally have my roll-on bag that goes in the overhead and the backpack which I keep under the seat and have never gotten any hassle over it.

I have backpack made for laptops (compartment specifically for laptops) that I use all the time when I fly...It is alot easier to lug around than laptop/messenger type bag....when I don't check in luggage, I have this and a carry on sized luggage...

so the answer to your question is YES.
