There is one in a million chance this could be the handiwork of Dubya Inc, but even if it is, how can anyone prove it ?

I've been to a few other news site message boards and on some of them, there is a huge cry that this was some kind of right-wing conspiracy.

My God. I am deeply saddened by the senseless and tragic death of Sen. Wellstone, his wife, and his three daughters, as well as the pilot, crew, and other passengers on that ill fated plane. This is a time for all Americans to pause and reflect, and to thank the Senator for his patriotic service to his country.

I did not and do not agree with many of Sen. Wellstone's political views, but I salute him as a politician of rare personal integrity and political courage, who, in the best American fashion, fought for what he believed was best for his country. It is worth noting that the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) enthusiastically endorsed his candidacy due to his untiring efforts on their, our American fighting veterans, behalf. Let us not forget that dissent is not unpatriotic.

Ten plus posts here in the aftermath of this horrific tragedy, shinerburke, and you have still not seen fit to express one iota of sympathy or regret? Damn it, an American Senator and most of his family just lost their lives! Our president has announced his regret, calling the late senior Senator from Minnesota a man of "deep personal convictions".

We are all Americans, and we are all human beings. Would you please step up and do the right thing? I believe you are more than equal to the task.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Sen. Paul Wellstone (D-Minn.), who died Friday in a plane crash, was a conference champion wrestler at the University of North Carolina and was a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's Hall of Outstanding Americans in Stillwater, Okla.

Wellstone was undefeated in two seasons as a 126-pound wrestler at North Carolina, and won the Atlantic Coast Conference title in 1964.

I wrestled at that weight in High School. Lost only twice.

I was NOT taking his death lightly...in fact when I made my original post what had happened and if they were dead was unknown. I asked my question legitimately, I was not making a joke, just asking a question. I was curious as to when the first mention of a "right wing conspiracy" would be and according to another post in this thread someone had already seen in mentioned in other newsgroups and forums. Sorry if you don't think it was legitimate but it was. Especially in light of the way politics are conducted these days.
