Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Those are not the words of a man who loves a forgiving and kind God. McVeigh did not acknowledge any bond with God.
It is not for me to judge where Tim McVeigh went, but God alone.

I will ask the question again, where is the outrage from Democrats about the killing of millions of innocent babies and the outrage from Muslims for the killing of many innocents?

Check some of the other threads on here....there has been plenty of outrage about what happened on 9/11 and about abortion.

As for all terrorists being Muslim....errr.....you need to check your facts buddy boy....Yes a large percentage of the terrorist acts we see committed against the west are by Muslims but if you will look around you will see that there are Christian, Buddhist, etc, etc, etc....sects that commit acts of terrorism all over the world.

Some examples you ask?

IRA Car bombing people in London in Ireland. Gee....I wonder what religion the IRA is?

People blowing up abortion clinics or shooting people that work at those clinics. Gee I wonder what religion they are?

Black churches being burned down throughout the South. Gee I wonder what religion the people that did that are?

If you want to step back in time we can talk about the Crusades or the Inquisition. I wonder what religion gave the world those two lovely events?

Chemical imbalances, Yzzim, chemical imbalances. It's a terrible problem overunning this nation.

(And there are a few in here that are prime candidates for retroactive abortions. Nedd I name names?)

what the hell happened to this thread?
It became a toilet. Happens frequently in OT.

Espescially when MrPALCO is around...

Do you ever wonder who ?MrPalco? really is? He is too much of a caricature of the religious right to be for real. The timing of his appearances also seem to be suspect.

Who on this board likes to think of themselves as producing thought provoking posts to make the rest of us poor ignorant morons think?

Haven't thought about it but I suspect he's an insecure kid who's probably attending an overly-strict Christian prep school. Either that or he belongs to some neo-quasi religious cult...the unfulfilled kind who just can't wait for the Day when the "sky becomes dark as sack cloth and the moon becomes as blood".

Or it could be much simpler: overweight high school kid with too much time on his hands.

This thread turned into a pos in a hurry.

I am amazed that the crap spewing few that are here can actually antagonize so many people and turn thread after thread into utter garbage. The thread actually started out with good intentions imo and somone asks a legitament question and you could hear the toilet flush all over as this thread headed for the sewer. Precisely why I generally don't get involved in crap threads. This one I actually followed just to see how far some would be willing to go with their wacko ideas firmly in hand and because Senator Wellstone was from the same state I reside in.

I was out of town and unable to post about this.

I am a conservative by nature and I will still be voting for N. Coleman but only because I disagreed with wellstone and I rreally disagree with the Democrat's LEADERSHIP.

The loss of any public servant is a loss for us all. I believe that wellstone gave everything he had to give for what he thought was best for MN and for the country. I have different veiws on how we should fix things and move forward but thoose issues are now in the past. My heart goes out to his son's and to all that we touched by this deticated man.

I am really upset by the self serving, idealistic, closeminded BIGOTS that claim to be conservative. GROW UP! This is not the time for petty name calling. I wasn't going to vote for him but the only harm I would want him to endure would be unemployment. DO you relise that by spewing hate you only strenthen the case for people on the side of Wellstone's politics? You should be ashamed of your self for having no respect for anyone who may disagree with you. OPEN YOUR EYES and SEE THE WORLD, You may be amazed at what you see. To be happy over a mans DEATH is repungent in nature and makes you look small.

I will say again that the loss of Wellstone and his loved ones is an awful tragedy. I do not believe anyone here is happy about it.

Other issues come up after a tragedy, one of which is the root cause of such things.

I have offered my view on the matter in order that some may learn from it, some will be offended, some will continue in ignorance. It takes great courage to see the truth. Some have it in varying degrees. Some have limited courage but prefer to sink back to the security of the group calling for his head.

This is not about politics. It is about life and death, blessing and cursing.

You choose life and every seed you plant will live.

So why did you plant a bunch of tumbleweeds? They just grew to be a big unsightly plant that died and are a now an nsightly nuisance blowing around the threads of this forum?

Ironic justice isn't it?

Your account has just been aborted!

Banned for that? I'm pro-choice, but I happen to agree with him.

Must have been the Hussien Mod that did that. The one if you don't agree with what they think, you are eliminated. [sarcasm]well done, moderator. well done.[/sarcasm]

My heart goes out to the remaining members of his family, I can't imagine what they must be going though today. I look back to when my wife's sister died at the age of 31, the loss they all felt as a family was tremendous.

Senator Wellstone and I could not have been farther apart politically on most issues and because of that I never voted for him and would not have this year either. I do give him credit for standing up for what he believed and not giving in on those beliefs. That was one thing I admired about him in that you always knew that he wasn't going to stick his finger in the air to see which way the political winds where blowing.

I must agree with him on this. I am, quite honestly, shocked and disgusted by many peoples' attitudes regarding this issue. I am also quite appalled that MrPalco, KKiller, etc would use this kind of thread to express their ideology or use it to justify this man's death.

If you want to debate the man's politics, that's fine, do that later. This thread is about showing compassion and grief for the death of a man and his family.

It kind of disgusted me reading the news sources, that there were rumors among the media that Wellstone's son (a federal judge I believe) may take over. This incident has probably hit him more than anyone, both his parents and his sister died in the same incident, I doubt running for senator would be on his mind.

It is disgusting how Democrat leaders have wasted no time in circling the wagons in the hope of retaining Wellstones seat.

Maybe they've wasted no time because the election is in less than two weeks. Anyone capable of logical thought sees that there is very little time to waste.

Banned for expressing an opinion?

A bit of an over reaction, don't you think?

It might have been. His account has been unlocked

But don't the Democrats teach that that kind of thinking is insensitive, and opportunistic?

Please help me to understand!

How many kids have been molested by trusted clergymen? The problem goes far beyond the recent high profile cases in the Catholic church. The Protestant clergy has similar problems. Just to let you know I'm an equal opportunity disrespecter of all religions, I'm sure I could find examples among Jewish, Muslim and other clergy, too.
Grow a set and condemn this awful religious set, the Muslims.
My "set" is in fine shape, and right now, I condemn you for hijacking a thread about the tragic death of Paul Wellstone, a man who, by all accounts, was a respected, conscientious, caring public servant, and asserting that his politics and/or philosophy are in anyway the will or the work of your ooga-booga fantasy deity. :disgust:

I further condemn you for your biggoted garbage assertions that only Muslims are responsible for terrorist activity or that Democrats are somehow as dishonorable as those terrorists, Muslim and otherwise, who have attacked us. :disgust:

I further condemn you for trying to justifiy and legitimize your outrageous bullsh8 by wrapping it in your bastardized pseudo-religious dogma. :disgust:

YOU ARE TRULY PATHETIC! :|
