Is it too late to get into this game? I guess there isn't much lose since it's F2P.

Just make sure you have a quality AV prog running. I've already caught someone trying to pass a Trojan onto my system while playing this online. :\

Never heard of getting a virus while playing a game through a dedicated server.
How the heck can they send a trojan to your system?
Maybe he saw someone with name Virus in game and freaked out.
Or maybe I posted the actual info and told you when it happened, but you know everything.
Anyhow, is anyone else getting sick of all the vehicles? This game feels like World of Tanks. Planetside 1 had great infantry battles in the bases and towers and this one is just vehicle spam. Kinda getting seriously boring. :\
Steam/steamapps/downloading/218230/Planetside.exe
HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Generic
Kaspersky caught it on my 3rd or 4th day of playing. :\

"HEUR" is a tag for heuristic scanning, given it's listed as Win32.Generic, it's a false positive.
There's next to no way in hell that Steam or Sony would be serving up viruses knowingly, and there's no backchannels for users to put files back up into the CDN.
Planetside 1's infantry battles were nothing compared to PS2's honestly.
You're forgetting the rootkit that Sony distributed on many of their music CD's which they claimed was a DRM solution.
My only major gripe with this game is the ridiculous grenade spam in large battles. I was really hoping the devs would realize that large numbers means a crazy number of grenades being thrown around. Honestly it's laughable when you look at big infantry fights in bases. They should have made grenades a cert like C4, and set the limit at just one.

So how did you guys make out with certs this weekend? Came away with about 350 certs.
+1 I had the same issue when I recently put together a new pc. Kaspersky has a well known issue where it will sometimes flag Steam with a false positive.

I went ahead and purchased some station cash, I really don't have enough time to sink hours into this game to get some of the unlocks I want. Looking back I probably should have gotten the subscription. Since the cash only allows you to unlock weapons and not the perks.
I've really only unlocked the v10 sniper rifle, and reduced the amount of time it takes for my cloaking to regen. So far I am liking this game. I killed a sniper out in the open, and then he came looking for me 3 more times. It was an XP farm. Once players on foot get too far out in the open they are pretty much screwed.
