Check out the reviews on resellerratings.com.

I warn anyone considering to do business with Royal, STAY AWAY! They are scammers, who advertise low prices to suck you in, which will have you paying more in the end than you would have at a reputable retailler!

I called this place to order a digital camera. My only advice is to NEVER NEVER SHOP HERE. The pricing listed on the website wasn't correst. The price I got didn't include too much and to top it off the was extremely ignorant to me. His horrible attitude forced me to terminate the inquiry. I am glad I never ordered from these people now that I have read that others have shared my experience.

It goes on and on.

When it comes to large investment like this I'd go with a more reliable store. I bought mine a few months ago from ElectricSam and even negotiated a discount on a 4 year warranty plan for $100 instead of $149 when buying with the camera...

Okay hall monitors, you can crawl back under your rock now. The guy posted an item, and a price he believes to be hot. This is hot deals, and we discuss hot deals. Go play Junior Sheriff somewhere else.

Only buy the 33 if you NEED the still picture option. The 19 has the exact same video qulaity for much less $.

Actually there are other differences between the 19, 22, and 33.

First, you'll notice that the 33 has an incrediblt fast zoom on it. After testing 3 cameras with the store I eventually bought my 22 at the salesman noted he had never seen that. (I was in a professional photography store, not Best Buy). The picture quality is better on the 33 than the 19, not terribly, but it is better. The 19 also has a B/W viewfinder, which people say they can live with. I decided I couldn't because I don't want to constantly use the LCD screen and run the battery down in less time than I have to record.

There are a few other minor things that are different. IN the end, the zoom was just uncontrollable on the 33. You could easily recreate the Wayne's World effect if you wanted with it. The 19/22 is much more controllable.

In the end I opted for not buying it at a cutthroat price from questionable retailer. Just too much of a purchase to use someone questionable.

The 19 does NOT allow analog IN.

This can be useful for those wishing to convert their old analog videos to digital tape and for those occasions when someone gives you a VHS tape and you want to pump it into your computer via firewire.

IMHO

It's not as cheap, but Onecall.com has it for $630 and they're reliable. Good resellerratings. I bought my Optura 20 ($599.91) from them on a saturday and opted for next day shipping ($31.32). It was delivered 9am on monday. There was no call-back from them and no sales pitch for accessories.

I got the 22 becuase it has almost every feature of the 33, plus everyone agrees that it does better in low light situations. Go for the 22 as it's cheaper and better w/ low light.

Well, at least you had enough sense to ask yourself that question, but then your brain got stumped and tricked you into taking the easy way out.

I bought the TRV22 from www.bhphotovideo.com last week & received it yesterday. Free shipping & it came with a $50 gift card. I was very pleased with the transaction.

The reason alot of online camera dealers have insane prices is mainly because the products are grey market & don't come with the manufacturer's warranty. They also list products they don't have & then give you a hard sell for something different & outrageously priced accessories.

I just bought TRV33 from B&H and other accessaries, including a Power-2000 NP-FM50 battery. I saw another post regarding TRV33 not accepting the third party battery before the order arrived and worried a little bit. But nonetheless it DOES work with the third party battery.

I think the deal at B&H is pretty good if you consider TRV33 yourself. I searched at pricegrabber and found that their price is very competitive ($629.95 with a $50 gift card and free shipping). You can not use the gift card for the accessaries when you order the camcorder though, since it is shipped separately from the camcorder. But I immediately ordered other accessaries such as Power-2000 QP-7400 adapter charger when I got the gift card in the mail.

Accessaries I got in total are: a Sunpak UV filter, 2 Sony 60-minute premium tapes, 1 Sony 60-minute excellence tape with cassette memory, Power-2000 NP-FM50 battery and QP-7400 adapter charger, and a 4-pin to4-pin IEEE1394 firewire cable.

i recall ppl saying that they insisted the battery was optional although it clearly states in the item description of any other site that the retail package comes with a battery, but they kept insistign that there's no battery included for one of their digicams and try to get u to pay additional money for it. if you don't buy anything extra from them, they claim the item u want is oos and cancel ur order or something like that.
