Planning trip for maryland's blue crab..

I google places to go to and cross with yelp's review and other review sites..

every good google place = horrible yelp reviews.. so where should I be going to get some decent blue crab without getting rip off ? I went down 2 yr ago to a crab festival @ sandy point state park, the crabs were so small and it was a dz for like 40 bucks.

Having lived in Annapolis for a few years I can honestly say

is an awesome place. After gorging drive over to the harbor where you can check out the Navy Academy, and also visit some great bars and local shopping. For dinner I highly suggest going to the Treaty of Paris. Old Ben Franklin and pals used to drink there call ahead for reservations! I miss that town.

One of the things about crabs is they're very seasonal.

Although crab season has started, I don't expect to get crabs now. In fact news outlets are saying crab season sucks now.

Come summer time it may kick ass. The best crabs usually don't come from a restaurant, but a local watering hole by the water. They'll announce that they have crabs and you'll stuff your face.

As small as Maryland is narrowing down where you'll be will help in finding a good hole.

initially ill be in ocean city, so going to cantlers is 2 hour drive.. but ill be there for about 3-4 days and eating crabs each day so ill be driving around all the time

read season begins in may, im heading down there last week or beginning in june

seaside restaurant in Glenburnie MD was great. Went Saturday. If you are going there, go early. Otherwise there will be long waits and no large or medium sized crabs.
