Plantronics audio 90's worthwhile?

Anyone have these headphones? I've seen some reviews on them, but it seems really mixed. I wear glasses and so I usually have a hard time finding a headset that will work for me.

Anyone have these and want to comment please? Thanks

I actually have them, good mic, decent headphones, very good bass response. I got them for like $15, so for the price, they are very good. They have a cheap feel to them, but they work well.

Compared to my Sennheiser PC-150s, they're crap.

Audio clarity/quality is on a much lower plateau.

But i guess if they cost half as much, & you can't spend an extra $20, they'd be acceptable...

I've heard the Sennheisers are a little tight and have a weak wire. Any truth to that?

wpeng: Yes those are the two most common complaints with the PC150s and there is truth to them. When they were only $29.99 with free shipping a week or so back I had to pick them up. As far as being tight, yes I do say they are more snug than other headphones I have. Of course, the other two I have are totally differnt kind of headphones and ones a cheap $5 pair of Koss and the others are the big ear muff style Sony. So you wouldn't expect either of those to be snug anyway. I don't find them tight to the point of bothering or hurting your ears, but if you are the kind to wear 'em for 3+ hours then they very well might. The wire is a tad more thin than most headphones I've used but I don't see any reason it would be a problem. Obviously don't reef on the cord trying to pull them out of the headphone jack.


SO the two biggest complaints don't really apply to me, and I'm very satisfied with them even so.

They're decent for gaming and messing around, if you're serious about audio quality, clarity, and accurate sound reproduction, look elsewhere.

I use a pair for playing counterstrike:source and they're fine for that. I don't expect much from them for listening to music or doing audio production.

This is exactly what I wanted to use them for... gaming. Probably more BF2 than CSS, but nonetheless, gaming

I had the audio 90's before purchasing my DSP 500's. The audio 90's are excellent headphones for the price (great mic too). I switched to the DSP500's because they're digital, don't require a sound card, very comfortable, and have an excellent mic. Check them out when you get a chance.

Yeah, I have... as well as the DSP 400's. The only thing is... I don't wanna spend that much. 20 bucks is what I'm looking at, and I can pick up the 90's for 18.99 shipped.

In the $20 price range the audio 90s are your best bet for a little more the PC150's are a bit nicer (I just got a set for 29.99 ) but both work well for BF2 or CSS
