UPDATE: This has gone up as it is now selling like the proverbial hotcakes at Buy.com. It is there #2 best seller as of this posting. Can be had cheaper elsewhere, but still a good deal. See postings below.

I got the above for $64.57 after my 10% discount coupon. (it may be a few cents more now). This was on sale recently at CompUSA for $90, it's now $130. So even at $71.94 it's still a good deal.

If you use buy.com you probably got a 10% coupon emailed to you. The coupon is only good for the email address to which it is sent. If you didn't get the coupon you can get a $10 coupon for flowers from ProFlowers.com. I used that for another purchase and sent flowers.

I only ordered it yesterday, but I checked lots of reviews and those were quite good. It got CNET's Editor's Choice award back in September. The salesman at my local compUSA loves it too. So I thought, why not? At this price I can make money on it at ebay.

I've had one of these for about a month, using with my T-Mo razr. It's excellent, IMHO, but this is the first bluetooth headset I've owned. But, I have had loads of corded sets: Road noise is tuned out....unbelieably so. Most people I'm talking to while I'm driving don't even realive it, vs corded, which is horrible. The ea piece fits in your ear. I have 20% hearing, so volume, as you can imagine. Range is great. I can walk 20 foot away, into varous rooms with no affect on reception. Batter lasts about 2 days with average 120 minute use (60 min per day).

EDIT: Well, just got it last night and charged it this am. So far I am very pleased. It was not quite as easy to pair with my phone as the manual suggested, but I got it paired. I had to hold the button much longer than the manual states to keep the light flashing red and blue so it searches for a device. Anyway, I recieved some calls and it sounds great. This thing is so light I keep checking to see if it's there. I may use the optional "ear stabilizer" just so I won't be so nervous about losing it. I'm using the smallest gel piece to keep it in my ear. I can't imagine needing the larger ones.

Anyway, limited testing receiving calls on my cell at work and I'm happy. I am impressed with how well it works while at the same time being puny. It is impressive. If I come across anything I dislike I'll post it here.

The price for this did drop a $1 or so for a bit but it's back to where it was when I first posted. Buy.com sells it for much less than anybody else right now.

EDIT 2:I love this headset. Absolutely love it. Using the voice recognition in my Samsung a920 works great. People don't even know I'm using a headset. I may get another for my wife's phone. And it's so small and light you forget it's there. Definitely a smart buy in my opinion.

I'd love to buy it, but my phone doesn't have bluetooth. Is there a sort of universal bluetooth adapter/dongle for a phone that I can buy to pair with this headset?

I Googled "bluetooth adapter for phones" and got tons of hits for adapters. Some are cheap, some aren't so cheap.

It seems like Staples doesn't have any Bluetooth adapters on their catalog. Seems like not too long ago, there was another way of accessing their catalog with more items.

Anyone know how to figure out if they have bluetooth items?

FYI: It's now showing 76.99 at buy.com. Amazon (actually, J&R) is only a few bucks more at $79.99, but has free shipping. Ends up being cheaper for me.

Wow, a week ago I got it for over $15 less. Still that's a good price. I checked and noticed that eCost has it for less. They're getting $73.94 plus $1.99 shipping. I've never done business with eCost, but that's a good deal.

On another note, I've been using this for several days now and I'm addicted to it. All I do is talk in the car now and never touch the phone, unless I want to check the caller ID. Plus the charge lasted for quite some time. I was very pleased all around. The one complaint is people say they can REALLY hear background noise if I'm in a busy store or something, and my voice comes across LOUD and clear, emphasis on the loud, even though I'm not speaking loudly. Still, it's a great tool and I'll probably get another when can save the funds. We have two Samsung a920 phones.

bump - I'm in. Beats paying what WA state is now passing out as $101 fines for using a handset w/o hands-free while driving AND being stopped for another violation (such as not wearing a seatbelt or forbid-me maybe exercising your right to free speach with antiwar bumper stickers).

don't forget the lack of a trash-bag within driver reach... don't have one, and its like a $65 fine I believe.



Anyhow... since when did WA start handing tickets out for using a cell-phone??? If you're driving "normally", I can't imagine they will ticket you. Show me the science behind that belief... (if so, then smoking, listening to music, talking to a passenger, screaming kids all should warrant a ticket...)
