Planning on majoring in piano performance in college....also play oboe, english horn, clarinet, a little guitar and drums.
I've always wondered - can you really make a living with a music performance degree?

seriously I really appreciate it. I tend to be a bit technical in my approach with my musical equipment. I want my cymbal resonance just right, my drum heads tuned right, the right type of sticks, and to hear about different methods, etc. I find it's cool to talk with other drummers about it but talking to a few people here and there only gets you so much feedback. Drummers are pretty particular about that stuff though, I guess it has alot to do with the nature of the instrument too. Attention to detail is critical in drumming IMO. It's really cool to see a large forum of people talking about the same stuff.Originally posted by: drum
