I wished I had the ability to spectate after dying in this game. I really wish they incorporated that.

Oh, does it just boot you after death? I mean I get that the matches are long but they should just let you watch anyhow... Every LMS game I've played in the past let you do that (albeit with shorter match times).

How's the general performance so far? I don't expect much since it just started EA but is it a stuttering mess with low FPS even on high end machines? I've seen several threads about the poor performance in the steam forums.

Performance needs some work. I turned shadows down and that seemed to help quite a lot. Performance in the big cities is in the 30-40fps range on the low side. Elsewhere FPS is good at around 80-100 or so. I'll have to try a large city with the shadows lowered to confirm it helps in those areas. Generally FPS and performance need some serious work, but I find it perfectly playable.

you can spectate your teamates in duos and squads. in solo it would be too easy to cheat, although i hear people are teaming up in solos anyway, which is basically like cheating.

I need to figure out how to not get so jittery. i'm quit playing like 10 minutes ago and I still feel jittery.
i guess it's like an adrenaline rush?

last game i made it to the last 13. killed 3 guys total. 2 guys in the same house, lol. 1 came in and i was lying down behind some debris, i peeked around and headshot him with a pump shotgun.
next guy comes in very soon after. goes towards the crate of the guy i just killed. i standup (crouch) and shoot. hit once. miss once or twice and hit again and he goes down. i thought I heard someone else in the building before they came in so i waited a bit but no one else came out. looted the bodies and had to move as the area was closing it. drove around, got shot at and hit a few times, drove some more, saw a build off kind of by itself near the edge of the new play area. drove up, got out and immediately see a guy run out from the building. kill him with my AR. then I get shot so hide behind the jeep, try to heal, get shot again, move, and get shot again and die. i think I was in between 2 other guys.

This game...I can hardly type right now. I made it to #2! He came around a corner. I had the drop on him and I unloaded and filled him full of 7.62, but he didn't die. I did. He musty have had good armor because I jacked him up. Believe me when I say my heart felt like it was going to pound straight out of my chest. Holy jesus this game is completely crazy.

I hope they take a hard-line stance on hacking and/or come up with some effective detection tools. Even more than most fps's, this type of game could be absolutely ruined by cheaters and it sounds like it's happening already.

My biggest complaint outside of the performance is being able to turn off the foliage in the settings. If you are going to include thick foliage at a long view distances ,do it like SQUAD does and lock it so you can't turn it off.

There are lots of open fields that you could take cover in if under sniper fire,but cant since most have foliage set to very low.

it's supposedly using battleye, or maybe it it will use it later? not entirely clear on that.

damn! i made it to top 4 last game and died because i couldn't make it back inside the play area in time.
last 2 guys i killed, 1 was kinda far away and i was shooting single shots with my ump with red dot. i was prone and he was either standing or crouched. he never hit me once I don't think. 2nd guy was looting a crate and no idea i was there so i laid into him full auto with the ump. lol

i actually had some good gear besides weapons. just an ump and uzi until the last guy i killed and took a ak off him.

but i found a lvl 3 helmet whch i never saw before and i got a lvl 3 vest off the last guy i killed. i had tons of bandages, first aid kits, red bulls, pain killers.

I've played countless games during the closed beta and I haven't slowed down since early access began. I have yet to see any cheating whatsoever. Sounds like you're being fed fud from the usual group of players that do poorly and have a lot of excuses for losing.

So whats the goal of winning, do you get cash or something to buy gear to make you stronger or is it reputation, etc.? It'll suck if winning lets you get super powered so any newbie that jumps in gets surrounded by guys all starting with M4s and body armor or whatever.

You get points that can be used to buy cosmetic gear. Getting weapons and stuff to start out would be completely unfair. Everyone starts with just clothing and has to find or kill to get weapons and other useful gear.

So yeah, its pretty much reputation now.

lol, was running to get to the new play area and saw a guy running ahead of me. I went prone and started taking shots at him. i hit him once or twice but he went behind a hill and promptly 1 shot me with an AWM sniper rifle.

ah man! got down to 21 left. saw a guy running up the hill near me, didn't think he saw me. i ran after him, crested the hill he was behind and he was looking right at me. we exchanged shots and we killed each other.

I've had H1Z1 since it became available on Steam, and I think PUBG is many levels better than KOTK, the old batle royal on H1Z1 before it was split up into two games was good but once Daybreak took over they wrecked it. So I'm cheering for the PUBG guys now, but PUBG has a long ways to go yet is already better than a 2 year old H1Z1.

I just hope the crappy racist Chinese kids doesn't leave H1Z1 and ruins PUBG.

Yeah almost every match is filled with racist garbage on the chat. First thing I do is make sure its muted. Game has been much better since doing that.

the other day i was playing and saw a dude in a field. i was in a jeep. i started to drive to him and he was shooting at me. he killed me but he didn't get out of the path of the jeep and he got run over. was funny. too bad I didn't get a kill for that one, lol.

i was just playing a game, went into a house that had a door right in front of a stairway. i went in an immediately to my left. out of the corner of my eye I saw a dude sitting at the top of the stairs. he didn't shoot, so must have surprised him. so i slowly creep back to the stairs and lean so that if he's coming down, i see him first. sure enough, he comes down. i unload full auto from AK into him, see a ton of blood spurts. he goes out the door and comes back in and kills me. so many stupid deaths where I should have won. I don't know how the hell he survived that. he had a m16 on burst too.
looked like he had a tier 1 vest but so did I.

I was #3 and got stuck in a corner and died from the zone. Stupid character was stuck in a falling motion waving his hands around like a fool. Another time I was #6 and couldn't jump over a pathetic 3ft fence. Died from the zone. Another time I was a low position, something like 5 or 6, didn't wait for the jeep to come to a full and complete stop, ran my self over. Died.
However, I got surprised by someone, they UNLOADED an M16 into me from behind and I didn't die. I turn around and just kill them. They had to be pissed. Game is buggy but fun.

I won! I did it by doing what I do best, lol. I stood out in the open right in the zone with a semi auto rifle and 4X scope. Wounded some dude taking shots at me, he ran away and died. Killed another dude in front of me and at the very end the last couple guys died from the force field. Can't believe I won. Wow. Finally.

Played 2 rounds of duos last night with a guy I used to play war thunder with. Got to top 9 teams 1st game and top 13 2nd game

Game has been my latest addiction. Won once in squad. Final 4 twice solo, but struggling to do better. I'm terrible at the sniper game, either I fail to obtain a 4x scope or I get ambushed and killed before I even see the other guy. My most successful games are due to finding a good spot in the center of the safe area and listening carefully. Sometimes even that doesn't work, like a guy will walk into the house I am hiding in and I unload on him and he still survives to turn around and kill me. Nothing can be done there though, I guess. I need to study the weapons a bit and get a better grasp as to what is good where. I thought a UMP uzi was decent but it seemed like i could unload my entire clip on someone without killing them, which is annoying. M16 is pretty much my go-to weapon if I can find one, seems to have a good balance of power and range.

Pet peeves: certain things block bullet which should have no business blocking bullets, such as staircase railings and fences. Turning off graphic settings makes it easier to see enemies, WTF? That should be equalized somehow.

It also seems like the "wilderness" parts of the map are way too open. I walk around a park in VA and you can't see people 100 feet away because of the trees, but it seems like even in the most rural areas of the map trees are sparse and don't really block line of sight much at all, so you can easily see people 1000 feet away. The game artificially inflates the power of snipers by not giving enough cover to walk through.

BTW, I suggest against turning off in-game voice comms in duo or squad games. One game of duo queue two players I was fighting where using the in-game communication and since I was close enough I could hear every word, so I knew when they were looking for me or when they decided to move on. Most players won't do that, but some will, don't give up a potential huge advantage. I just turn my sound off until I jump from the plane and avoid the stupid early game chatter.

One of the recent patches made everyone's foliage setting the same. I agree that There's too many places that are too open.
I've yet to win a game. I've only played solo. I got to last 2 3 times but I always die due to being dumb. Like last time I thought the circle was going 1 way but it went another way and the last guy killed me from behind. One time I stayed behind a car and the last guy just shot the car and blew it up. one time i tried to throw a molotov but the animation takes so long the dude came out of cover and killed me.
