Playing Divx with Hollywood + decoder, FINALLY

Well its happened. I'm pretty sure this hasn't been posted yet but I'm watching divx on my tv through my hollywood + decoder. This is great. No more converting to mpg to get it to work.

There are definetly some bugs that need to be worked out. The brightness is definetly screwed up.

not sure what you mean.

The divx codec isn't supported by the Hollywood+, so in your video should be decoded in software completely independant of the card.

About to ask the same question, have a bunch of ASF movies that I prefer not to xfer over to MPEG, how are you doing this?

I've been messing around with it and pretty much I just think that its playing the divx movies using the tv output. NO hardware decoding. But hey if you don't have tv out on your video card this is great because now you can watch divx on your tv using the H+ even if it isn't done through the hardware decode.

Near the bottom there is a topic that says "Divxplus for W98&2000"

Some guy wrote the program or something. Working okay so far except the brightness is a little screwed up.

Cool, it's about time they finally managed to utilize the H+'s tv output for something either then mpeg output.

Cool, I may have to dig the H+ out of the unused pile of parts and start using it again. The TV-out was better than my Radeon but not by much. The hassle of switching between the H+ output and Radeon output was too much so I switched fully to the Radeon. It could be time to go back!

How do you use it? I can't figure out how to open a file with it, and when I click Play or Pause the player crashes.
