The fan patch looks very interesting. My group isn't using it now, our reason being we want to play through the game on normal without any mods, and then install it on our Epic and Legendary playthroughs to spice things up.

We just got to the second act (Egypt), so I'll keep an eye out for instability issues. It's been a smooth ride this far. No crashes or issues at all between the four of us.

Thanks OP for bringing this game up. I had a blast playing it when it came out 5 years ago. Although I do remember playing multiplayer and there were like a lot of hacked weapons being passed around. Its 10 bucks on amazon for the gold edition (TQ + TQIT). Just ordered it since I can't find my original copy . Diablo clone FTW.

Steam had Titan Quest on sale a few months ago, so I picked up a copy for my daughter, my son and myself. The game is a lot of fun, I would even compare it to diablo II.

I'll probably be playing titan quest on and off until Diablo III comes out.

I dont understand why people dont talk about titan quest more often. I would put it as better then sacred, but not quite as good as Diablo II.

This is actually the game that worried me that I may not like D3. I spent years playing D2 but while Titan Quest was fun, it just seems repetitive without having the story of an RPG or the fast-twitch excitement of a FPS/MOBA game.

They don't talk about it because it's like 150 years old in gamer years? It is a great action rpg though.

If Titan Quest is 150 years, then Doom is around 5,000 years, Half-Life is 1,000 years. And people still talk about Doom and Half-Life.

Even though I bought my son and daughter Titan Quest, we have yet to play it multi-player. Maybe in the next couple of months we can take time to do that.

Fun game, end boss is impossible to kill though. Tried for a week and finally gave up and went to create a new guy. My son had an elementalist? that was decent level but kept getting smoked by the last dude.

I started playing this game with my brother again for the first time in years about a month ago. Very addictive game. Using the same setup as the OP's first post and it is a very powerful build.

I killed him, although it took about 20 tries. I think it took me more than one sitting though. You just have to play very defensively against him, and find the health regeneration areas near him. Kind of like Mike Tyson, you only punch when you have a clear shot, and spend 95% of your time trying to avoid his punches. (Assuming you have played Mike Tysons Punchout, and actually beaten Mike Tyson.)

The second end boss (Hades) was easy to kill in comparison. I killed him on the first try.

007 373 5963. I've beaten iron mike, but this guy is tough compared to him This guy also regens iirc.

I bought Torchlight the other day, put about 20 hours into it, but pretty bored of it now.

Think Titan Quest will keep me engaged longer?

The problem that I have had with TQ and Torchlight, is that while fun, once you use some patches/mods that allow for unique drops increase (or always) its no fun going back to vanilla. But then again ALWAYS getting a unique drop becomes boring too. I've ruined them for myself

I started this game up with my brother a week ago. Fun game, good graphics, only downside is there isn't a lot of online activity :/

It sounds like you have a problem with yourself, not the games.

I've been playing it recently. Does anyone know who the seemingly intelligent, nomadic cat-like species we're massacring are? And why are we committing genocide against them?

Same reason we slaughter everything else in our path: "because they're there."

Fun game, I might go back to it after I'm done with King's Bounty Armored Princess.

Titan Quest got a bad rap for being buggy because the pirated versions had bombs in them that made them bug out. The pirated version permeated so deeply into the system that even reviewers were reporting it as buggy. Hence less people bought the game and the developer went under.

I keep hearing this over and over again and I know its bullshit. I own both the DVD and Steam versions and they have plenty of bugs.
