personally, I wouldn't trust a used PS2... no warrantee and who knows how it was treated! Plus you don't get the satisfaction of tearing open that brand new box and having the new system smell

LA Times article in the Business section said that Sony has cut the price to $199 - so this should be the price everywhere. They also said that Microsoft will likely follow suit with a price cut on the XBox.

Damn so which deal is better for us Californians?!

I can't decide between ebgames or gamestop. Both provide no tax, but ebgames comes with a controller, while gamestop provides a game + Driven DVD (which I will just sell for a few bucks).

I'm leaning a bit toward ebgames since I can find more use in another controller, as everyone has GT3 and I can just borrow that.

You might have to enter the coupon more than once ... but my problem is that when I try to check out, it says that the shipping option is not available in my country (I'm in the U.S.). I tried both shipping options (2-Day and Next Day).

Does anyone know what version (V4/5/6) of the PS2 Ebgames and Gamestop are selling right now? I wanna buy from them, but I really would prefer knowing in advance that I can mod it well. (Actually, the V5/V6 also offer better DVD playback)

Everywhere has it for $49.99 now, so just find an online store thats out of stare or somewhere that doesn't charge you tax.
