well, for cypriot's sake, i hope that's not the case.

this deal seems too good to be true except iwearnosox says it's true and he usually knows his sh!t. cant wait to do this... have to wait a month though, have TOO much work over the next month (finals) to keep track of all this for now.

It is true, they are VERY strict. He should have thought twice before doing that.

There's an xbox sitting next to my foot from fvg, I haven't had time to mess with it but they're legit. Some of the offers I didn't get credited for, namely the big gambling ones.

I got an xbox and gameboy advance for about $70, though.

any info on which ones are easiest to try? also, i see they use a validation system to validate your completion of orders, wouldnt it be easy to get a group of 10 ppl, have each sign up for one deal, and then share the validation info amongst the group??? anyone interested?
edit, nm doesn't seem to use validation for much of anything.

For what are they checking accounts for? IP wise? or info wise? I haven't confirmed those mails yet so make sure before you warn me? can they catch it?? if not I will go ahead and confirm accounts.. I was registering the accounts while I wrote that.. somebody lmk..

EDITammit.. Just realized.. One system per household.. heh I was trying to get some more points.. anyway.. I guess my account is clean now.. I still don't think they check it.. I mean if they consider ir fraud, they should consider everything fraud... you are supposed to apply for offers and keep them, but all I do is cancelling the offers after getting points.. so I don't think they check those kind of stuff..

They do check because although it is a potential negative against them, every user who violates the TOS does not get the "free" item and thus is less for them to payout.

Second, signing up and cancelling for a lot of the programs is NOT FRAUD because they still get paid and that is all they care about.

How long does it take from when you 'order' a system (GB Advance for instance) from them to when you actually receive it.
also, do the free gift cards promised in some offers really come through? if just one $25 offer came through it'd make a nice profit.

Intruiging.

However, I must ask myself... do I really want to be on every spam list known to man?

It can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months for an item to arrive.

Those GC "bonus" items are tricky because it cuts it real close to the end. When you sign up they send a welcome kit (which can take a week or two to get). In the welcome kit there is a post card that you fill out and send back. When they receive it back and process it, you still have to be a member. So if it happens within 29 days you can get it, but if there are any delays and you cancel before you receive it, the gc will not come and if you forget to cancel on time there will be a hefty charge on your CC.

That's why it says create another email account for that.. I created an account on my website.. I will delete it after I got the PS2.. There was a good offer today, goToMyPC gives 1600 points.. an easy way to get 1600 points especially if you are going for a GBA which has low points..

EDIT: Just out of curiousity, how do they check if you refered real people or fake? by IP?

They dont let that info out as people would come up with ways to circumvent it but I've heard a number of things including ip match's, referal account activity, and if redeeming an item same shipping names & addresses.

You have to be careful on that GoToMyPc offer as i think it's like $9.95-19.95 for a one month account.

Naw, it's a free trial offer for 60 minutes of use or 30 days. I am cancelling it tomorrow, I hope I get the points soon, I am gonna order Gran Turismo and one other game that I haven't decided yet.

You guys better stay away from AOL, I mean it's good points but cancellation is a total "OHH MYY GOODD (Janice/Friends)" situation..

The most diffucult one to get rid of was aol account. They keep trying to convince you to keep your account. I swear I was banging my head to the wall and the lady asked "something wrong?" I said "Nothing's wrong, I just want to cancel my account" and she said "OK, think it this way" for 2730298402938 times.. I am so glad I didn't do something stupid while cancellation like shooting myself. I signed up in 3 minutes and cancelling took 20 minutes!!

EDIT: Bargain.com deal is pretty cool.. you just register online whenever you want.. I registered at 4 in the morning and called them. You don't talk to a customer assitant. You just dial 18003331915 , type your telephone number that you used while registration and cancel your account. Got 300 points from there in 5 minutes. And I haven't calculated how much I spent on whole deals yet but it's definitely less than $10... I don't know how those guys managed to get it for $20 (which was the lowest one I saw).. And I don't know why I bought that info online... I want my $5 back

Lol, If I would sell that info to all people who asked for it, I would make around $50 .. Anyway.. May be I can put it back on eBay

-LoL-

That's funny. A friend of mine who was with AOL said the same thing. The customer rep just won't take no for an answer. It took her like 20 minutes to cancel her account.

"......no wonder it's #1"

Heh heh.

Easiest way to do it is to tell them either your going away 6 months and wont have a pc or tell them your pc broke down and you dont have one anymore so you have to cancel. This way there is nothing else for them to offer.

Also, a lot of the 1 day instant offers have switched to 1 month trials so points will be harder to get.

Harder to get? Why? It's better to have them 1 months trial so you have more time to cancel it. I got my aol points the day after I registered and cancelled.

Read the fine print, you're not getting those points:

"Become a paying subscriber to GotoMyPC.com. Fill in your name and email (must use the same email you signed up with FreeDVDs.com) and either click the "Buy Now" option (you will be credited instantly) OR click the "Try it Free" option (you will be credited in 2-3 weeks after your free trial ends and you become a paying member). Then click the link on the welcome email, and enter a valid credit card, download the software, and try out the software."

Nope, they have eliminated the 1 day trials so to get the points you have to pay the FULL MONTH price.
