That got a laugh out of me . As for the Getaway game, I don't care much for the screenshot, especially the motion blur. Hopefully it's implemented right, otherwise it's a visual nuisance.

2.18 terflops vs xbox360's 1.15 teraflops
supports bluray
bluetooth support for controllers (up to 7 at a time)

and it really doesn't matter how true the hype is. the dreamcast was very comparable to the ps2 but the ps2 hype killed it.

What I am most focused on is whether somebody will come up with some code to take advantage of the Cell's Power and run SETI lol... (kinda gay..but I love putting a CPU to work!)

I would hope that the PS2 would be more powerful than the xbox360 being that its coming out 6 months to a year later.

I *really* like the support for 7 controllers at once. And wireless (I know the xbox 360 has wireless too), but I still think it's cool.

Won't need a fvcking multi-tap now.

If that were to happen a lot of the guys in the Distributed Computing forums would buy a lot of PS3's.

May 16, 2005 - Sony just took a bunch of steam out of Microsoft's Xbox 360 by demonstrating Epic's amazing Unreal 3.0 tech on PS3.

While the technology was being used to run an untitled game, it was being used super well. This is important because until this moment, Gears of War, Microsoft's Unreal 3.0 powered third-person shooter, was the best looking Xbox 360 game we've yet seen. And there it is...running on PS3.

We'll have more details as they come.

IMO, with the price I think it'll be, the PS3 (and xbox 360) would probably be great for SETI and all the DC things.

The "big surprise" at the end of the show is the announcement that the next installment of Grand Theft Auto is exclusive to PlayStation 3. Expect PS3 in Spring of 2006.
