Credit card companies really need a way of stopping junk like this, and yes, I mean you abusing your credit card. Seriously, a PS3 won't even be available to buy for $600 for months and you expected to get one before Christmas for $500. Even if the credit card company gets their money back, they still spent resources getting it back. If you haven't learned by now that scam websites look professional, then you deserve a few "I told you so's." Let me ask you this. Would you have do the same thing over again if you didn't have fraud protection?

Lol, well until I get my PS3 at my door I won't be cancelling my chargeback already submitted this noon. They promised an email with tracking which I should have gotten yesterday according to them and charged me the full $495 on Dec 1st. based on that guaranteed shipment on Dec. 11th so they are already late with the shipping email, the website is down, they have yet to reply to an email sent almost 24 hours ago asking for an update on my order status, and phoning is useless. That and all the skeptics have me plenty concerned.

That's from the buyer side. But as I heard there are sellers got scammed (ended up goods sent with cancelled payment) because buyers report to paypal and credit card company not receiving the goods even though deliveries were confirmed.

I watched a number of PS3's going on ebay for $750-850 WITH bonuses, such as extra controller, 1 year replacement warranty, or Resistance the only PS3 game worth playing. There were PLENTY in this ~$800 price range. No point in importing at these prices.

Yeah, I have been ripped off on both sides (Buying and Selling) through paypal. Paypal would rather go after whoever is easiest to get the money from regardless of who is right.


I heart my AMEX. If someone defrauds you, ya just make one phone call and be done with it.

Also works for those asshat companies that like to lag days and days to get you an RMA refund.

I had a dispute through paypal before as a buyer. Got to the point where the seller said he'd just ship me a roll of toilet paper and the delivery confirmation of that shipment would satisfy paypal. Having also started talks with paypal, the idiots they had in customer service made it seem as if that was a true statement. So I just forwarded that info to my CC company and had them reverse the charge.

Not sure if paypall got their money back from the seller, but when I got an email from paypal about them getting a charge back from my CC and asking why I didn't bring this dispute to their attention, I had a good smile.

Iupi, did you know that if they didnt get the money from the seller back they will debit your paypal account that amount and take it from any money you have going into it as soon as it is available in the account. They will freeze your account to so you cannot withdraw your funds. Once they are paid they will not unfreeze your account until you provide them with every form off identify proof imaginable. Paypal really is horrible when something goes wrong with a sale or purchase. There are many websites dedicated to paypal victums.

eBay is not as trustworthy as it used to be. It's full of scammers. Friend of mine tried to sell a PS3 on eBay, fuxking scammers w/ negative feedbacks bidded up to $3k. My friend had to cancel the bad bids within the last 20 minutes. This just fuxking killing auction business!
