There are already rumors that MS is going to do just that with every Xbox bundle... very soon! With E3 just around the corner, you can expect some major announcements by MS' xbox folks!

Hey guys I just picked this up and the deal is like this:

450 system charge
49.99 controller charge.

It looks as though you can return the controller, making the deal 450 for the system...sell the blue ray discs...easly looking 375-400 range.

What does the new 80gb ps3 have to offer besides just additional hd space for $100? I'm just wondering if it's better to pass on this and wait....20gb can't be the sum total of $100 additional dollars, could it?

Maybe it comes with an HD cable too. I could not BELIEVE this thing didn't, even for 150 off.

I can't believe how loud this thing is playing DVD's...I'm tempted to take it back. 500$ piece of hardware can't shut up? I didn't have this problem with 360 and apparently thats supposed to be louder than the ps3.

I never hear my PS3, except the loading sounds when I first put in a disc. Wii's the same. Defective unit?

i got mine from circuit city...exact deal OP linked to with in-store pickup (seems like everyone got in on this deal cause it was sold out and luckily i got the last one at my store).

my ps3 is pretty quiet...its pretty nice actually and im glad i bought it.

Stand it vertically, it'll help it stay cool and keep the fan speed low.

The only extras you get are 20 gigs and Motorstorm. Not worth $100 in my book.

IMO, get the 60GB, and if you really find yourself needing space, get a SATA Notebook HD and swap it in, it works just as well.

Yeah, it even explains in the PS3 instruction manual how to swap in a 3rd party hard drive. It doesn't void the warranty or anything. Good stuff.
