OK. So i know all of you are sick and TIRED of hearing about the same ex girlfriend since last december. So here is where I am right now:

I used to be a VERY independent and easy going person. Now, I can't even decide where I want to live, and that's because I let myself get very attached to this girl, to where I had given her a promise ring, and was ready to marry her, when we broke up.

I hate the Internet more and more. She's been away all Summer, and I knew she had met this guy, but they apparently were doing a "Summer fling". Now, I come home today from my trip in Tennessee (which was AWESOME) to find that they are dating, and she has "miss you" all over her away messages and profiles.

Now mind you, without the net, life would be grand, because I could just ignore it. But its so hard, because I still think about her, and here she's moved on with her life, which is awesome. Now I wish I could do the same, because honestly, I KNOW she isn't the one for me: the girls I met in Tennessee were 10 times better than this girl... so why do I even hold on?

I've already burned all of her letters and such, and I had something very special of hers and I'm giving it back to her tomorrow (she is taking it out of my car while I am at the gym).

When we originally broke up, I lost 60 pounds, and I am still losing weight like crazy,and I have a personal trainer. Without her and I breaking up, I'd still be fat and out of shape and unhealthy: my blood pressure AND cholestoral have dropped from threatening levels almost overnight .... so this break up was GOOD for us, and I'm happy (ok well not thrilled, but satisfied) that she's with someone else. Apparently the "miss you" means she is happy, and I guess that means I wasn't right for her, so all is good.

Now ATOT.... give me the best way of getting OVER this girl. Is it to just block her, so I stop reading her aways and knowing that she exists?

And this isn't like my other YAMGT's. I KNOW this girl isn't for me now. That part is done. Over with. I can do so much better. I Just want to forget about it.....

Just remove yourself from any contact with her. that includes buddy lists, etc...no use in reminding yourself she is there on a regular basis.

Just delete any and all ways that you've held contact with her online.

Just go on with your life - do whatever you do to get by day to day. Take her off your stupid buddy list since that's a daily reminder. You'll think about her for a few months, the pain will lessen over time, and eventually when you think of her it won't be painful, it'll just be a memory like all your other memories.

Man, OP. Usually I would be the first to empathize, but get over yourself already. Stop being EMO and grow up.

Learn to be independant and find some good friends, boys and girls. Don't go looking for another relationship, just try to figure out what you want to be doing in your life and go do it (relationships will follow). The only way to move on is to actually move on and stop dwelling on it.
