Sweet. Adobe Lightroom, huh. Is it just an editor, or does it do image management as well? I don't think I've ever really heard of the program.
Lightroom is a whole-image editor, so you still need Photoshop for local adjustments (though LR can do red eye reduction and cloning). It has limited "DAM" (digital asset management) abilities as well, though if you're used to something like iView MediaPro, it will be inadequate (and if Picassa is enough for you, then it will be too much). I use it to tag location and description information on my photos, and then flag the good and bad ones for picking and deleting, respectively. It also has printing support, which I don't use since I print from Photoshop, and it can do great basic slide shows. Its strength that matters most to me is that it has excellent image comparison and sorting tools, so I can cull the crap out of those 700+ raw files shot over a couple days in Yellowstone and the Badlands.
I'm so bummed that Microsoft ditched FrontPage from Office 2007. They have some new programs to replace it, but.... Oh well. I just wish they had kept it. Such a wonderful program for hard-coding HTML.
I used Frontpage back around versions XP and 2002, when it sucked. Supposedly Microsoft actually made it better in version 2003, so it's sad that they killed it. Dreamweaver is my web weapon of choice now, though, so Microsoft will have a damn hard time getting me to switch back to their Expression Web whatever-it-is product (especially now that I'm using a Macbook Pro for my main system).
