If you went with an lga775 system you could spend the same amount of cash, have 90&#37; of the power and have a blu-ray & 1TB drive.

Decent looking build though.

You could probably step down to an Athlon X4 to save a bit of money.
Otherwise, the build looks pretty good.

For DDR3: Gigabyte 785g / Propus 620: $181

For DDR2: Gigabyte 785g / Propus 620: $159 <----- (would be my choice)

DDR3 will not bring a lot to the table for you. A 2x2Gb kit of DDR2 800 should run you around $82.
