Please help me find a new Vid card..

Hey guys,

I am currently using CRT and will be upgrading to LCD monitor (SAMSUNG 226BW Black 22") soon.
I 'm currently using ATI Radeon VE (7000) and it has DVI output. Would this card be okay to connect to my new Sammy? I know 226BW will support Widescreen and stuff and I want to take full advantage of all the good stuff. My current vid card is so old that I don't think it'll support WS resolution (16x10 I think?) Do I need a new vid card? If so, what would you guys recommend? I am looking at <$100 AGP card. I never play any games so I don't need any super fast 3d stuff; I do basic video/photo editing and watch DVD and DIVX. I was looking at Ati x700, is that card any good? Someone suggested Matrox cards. Those any good? Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thanx!

I have used this one in a couple of upgrades recently and it should work fine for what you want.

SYDC8 your current card will handle the Monitor. Just do an driver update but i highly recommend if you are wanting to buy new card then wait a week because ATI and Nvidia will releasing new GPU. ATI will have a dedicated Video processor on even the lowest Video Card which will come with a much more Advance Video Ecoder and decoder.
