I have forwarded your resume to one of our IT directors there in Plano. Can you PM me with any additional details about your provisioning & development work on switches. We have a new softswitch that goes GA on Oct 21 and I think we can use people with a perf mgmt
and provisioning background.

Are you focused primarily on 8i or do you have any OODB experience.

Five minutes ago I clicked on "reply to thread" and lost everything I had composed.
Now to recall everything I said and type it gain.

In the meanwhile I will tell you that I attended my first softswitch composium three years ago at Campbell/75, when there were more questions than answers.

After you read my response I think that your IT director will work with his budget and bring me onboard.

My professional references are impecable/outstanding and my knowledge of how to design a DB interface for north and south bound traffic isn't shabby either. Previously I was under legal requirements not to discuss any details regarding my work at Lucent but that has expired. If my response occurs tomorrow that implies I fell asleep

You can try PMing him here, try his email address and try him (pm wise) @ my site - (www.team-tnt.net - his account there is RC) Sometimes AT is so slow (dialup or however he gets on) that he probably can not read and reply easily

I think what people are saying in different words is

It's a hand up not a hand out, like the government. But you paid taxes so take government money also you may not see Social Security in the future.

Edit: I sent an email to Anand Lal Shimpi requesting permission to allow RC to access my subscriber account or that I will pay for a subscriber account as soon as contact is made with RC if this is not acceptable.

Update: The places I have contacts with do not have openings currently for Oracle related positions, but I have them checking with their contacts to see what they can dig up. It is like the old shampoo commercial I told two friends and they told two friends and so on and so on. We are going to keep on top of this until either we find him a job or someone beats us to it!

Also, RC would you be willing to relocate to Houston, if so I have a lot more connections here than I do in Dallas. Let me know and I will get to work on it right away.

I don't want to speak for Roy, but I'd submit if he were willing to move way up north, that Houston would be even less of a problem. It'd be great if he had to TURN DOWN multiple job offers!

I've had some communications with Roy, and it probably won't be possible for him to get any monetary "loans" via paypal or check, his only option at this time is probably Western Union even though they charge a lot for the service.

I've volunteered to collect any Paypal $$ for Roy using my PayPal account, as it only has about $6 in it, I'm not using it for anything at the moment, so it will be easy for me to keep track of donations and get them to Roy. I would also be willing to collect any checks and get the money to Roy as well.

That is, if this arrangement is acceptable. If anyone has any other options or ideas, I'm certainly open to them.
