I'm trying to install XP pro on my machine at home and I'm getting an error that I've never seen before. Windows boots up fine, but when I try to do anything I get an RPC error, "Windows must shut down the system because the Remote Procedure call (RPC) service has terminated." The machine reboots and does the same thing all over again.
I'm using a Gigabyte 8iexp rev 2.0 mb with the built-in Intel network card, Ati Radeon 8500, built in sound card, P4 2.53g, Antec case and 400watt Antec power supply. I just wanted to do a routine reformat. :disgust:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
