PLEASE HELP!

I got a installation CD that keeps crashing in the same plaec on the cd. Here;s what makes it weird, it crashes on a diff file each time but always the same set of files, a bunch of wav files. The cd rom seems like it's choking but it's a 40 speed and I have tried changing cd roms and drivers and other stuff.

What's the CD surface look like? Is it scratched up? Have you tried copying the CD to a new disk, or to your HD for installation purposes?

Is it an OEM disk or a copy? If a copy maybe a bad burn?

It's a cd for a new Beta, so its probably a cheapo CD. Im gonna try burning the disk like you said. I would also like to copy it to my hard drive first but im not sure how.

I was so looking forward to trying this dang game. Thanks for the help so far.

Hi, I'm saddened to say that both copying the CD to the hard drive and trying to burn it has failed. It seems to crash on the huge Data1 file. Right before it crashes the cd rom always sounds funky which makes me think I just have a bad disc.

So sad, any help is great.
