Pay off the Dell account. Let her take legal action if she still wants you to pay for the other stuff.

don't sign anything, obviously. you weren't married. but i'd check the common law marriage statutes in your state. The fact that she never paid any rent or utilities would probably null any claims she would have however.

you can be reasonable and discuss that fact with her, and offer to pay the the dell thing and/or part of the CC's. if she get's even more crazy on you, just call a lawyer.

are you serious? How ****** stupid would you have to be to sign that. You spent 3 years with her, and she still acts like this? Must be a real ******. Use it as t.p.

Basically it stated that i am required to give her 2,000 dollars of my federal tax return money. Pay off the dell account as well as one of her minor Credit Cards. Which everything in totals reach 4,300 dollars. Failure to do so will result in legal action ect. I have no problem paying off the dell account in which i used and i did use he CC from time to time. But what really pisses me off is she never paid a single cent to rent or any utilities. Am i suppose to bill her for that? I mean isn't this crazy?

Thoughts?

YOUCH THATS UGLY!!!

if you did not have any sort of contract stating her being responsible for partial payment of rent or bills, chances are that you are SOL on all that now. But the same goes for her... unless you previously agreed to pay for stuff, then she cannot make you. If you put charges on her CC, then it is only right you pay it.

what is the $2,000 for?

You don't owe her sh*t if you are describing the situation correctly.

If she does try to sue, whip out a countersuit for utilities.

I would imagine it varies from state to state but I find it hard to believe that without a marriage license she's SOL if you don't want to pay her.

It goes like this:

Her: You owe me.
You: No I don't.
Her: You bought that with my CC
You: With your permission. I'll say it was a gift.
Her: ...
End of conversation.

Edit: Whatever you do DON'T SIGN ANYTHING

With her attitude you shouldn't give here ANYTHING. Please don't tell me you are considering it because you still "love" her. Because she will see the weakness and exploit it.

She's the one leaving... it's not like you're kicking her out. Let her fend for herself. And DON'T give her your tax refund.

Ahhh.... Wiz beat me to it.

Why would you owe her anything if she didn't contribute income?

She's just as gone and it's just as over whether you pay her or not. It's her choice to leave. You don't owe her anything other than the Dell bill.

dont sign it..

if she didnt pay rent.. then you arent liable.. maybe if anything it is for teh dell.. but if she bought it, and you use it once in a while, she cannot collect 'rent' for it.. if there was no stated contract, only an impled contract and she cannot collect on an implied contract.

edit:

if you bought something on her cc, you only need to pay that.

you need to listen to tom leykis.
