The night before last, my beloved Jean aka WombatWoman, our Den Mother, had a big medical scare. She is still too weak to fill me on the details but wrote this today:
"There is an old pilots' saying, "coming in on a wing and a prayer." I feel as if that describes me, except that I haven't got a wing. But the uplift of your prayers and mine will keep me aloft. We are wingless angels, and we cannot fly alone. We need each other, and we need the help of God."
She has been feeling worse lately & I fear that we almost lost her and I find myself much less prepared for this than I thought. Jean is heavily medicated & sleeping right now and will probably be angry at me later but I strongly believe in the healing power of prayer and, with tears in my eyes and absolute humility, I ask all those who believe to ask for God's help for her. We are one extended family and the Den Mother needs our help.
I may not be thinking right in asking this of some of you, but I just love her so damn much.
Thanks
Denis
