I know you guys have a system for this stuff, but I've already purchased the parts, just wanted clarification on if you guys think it's good to go, or if I should make any changes.
I'll be using the system for gaming, design work (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash etc), some video editing (Premier Pro) and a tiny bit of 3D rendering (3Ds Max + Zbrush).
I sort of already stretched my budget out, but here's what I went with.
Intel Core i7 920 (plan to OC this to around 3.6ghz)
Asus P6T Deluxe
OCZ 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1333mhz Platinum (7-7-7-20 1.6v)
Vista Home Premium 64bit
Zalman CNS9900 LED CU Cooler (Noctua and V8 won't fit in my case!)
---
Parts I already have.
XFX GTX 260 XT (216 core)
Coolermaster Praetorian 732 case (aluminium, love the look)
Silverstone 720w PSU
X-fi Xtreme sound card
320GB WD HDD
500GB WD HDD
Main reason I'm upgrading is because my PC has kicked in. I need to do a fresh install of everything, and have found a buyer for my old parts, so figure if I'm going to go fresh, I might as well upgrade it all to keep me up to date. I'm upgrading from a C2D set up with 4GB DDR2 ram (Windows XP). Which imo had started showing it's age with some of my more intensive design work.
What do you guys think? Would you change anything?
