To be used for: HTPC, maybe slight gaming
Is there anything I won't be able to do with this and should consider instead? Mostly used for building an archive of tv shows and movies. Might encode some of my existing blue rays onto harddrives... My case should be able to support 2 harddrives. The PC won't be in the same room as my tv so I'd like a mini towerish kinda case but not too small.

CPU: Core i5 750 2.66GHz LGA1156, $196.
CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS9500A LED, $49, with Zalman ZM-CS5B Clip Kit for Socket 1156/775, $3 (necessary to attach the cooler to the LGA1156 socket).
Motherboard: ASRock P55 Extreme LGA1156 Intel P55 chipset ATX, $140.
Memory: G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ DDR3-1600 2 x 2GB Kit, $105.
Graphics Card (NVIDIA): XFX GS-250X-ZDFU GeForce GTS 250 DDR3 1GB, $146.
HDD: Western Digital WD6400AAKS 640GB SATA 3.0Gbps, $63.
PSU: Enermax MODU82+ 625W EMD625AWT, $135
Case: Need recommendation? I want it to be kinda cool looking but also quiet under idle situations

How are the rest of my components, have I picked anything that could be better in places?

$135 is a lot to pay for a power supply. The OCZ modular power supplies are solid and MUCH cheaper. $40 AR for the 500W and $50 AR for the 600W. In your case 500W is really all you need.

I paid about $130 for my HX750 which I consider a very good deal. $135 is a little high for 625W, but Enermax PSUs tend to be a little pricey. With PSUs you generally get what you pay for. I would recommend something better quality than OCZ such as Antec TruePower New 550W.

1. Why not go for the AALS 640GB drive? It's only a few dollars more.
2. You can get a higher-power Antec PSU for less than that Enermax costs. For example the Truepower New 650W which is also modular. Check out the Eco Neo 620 as well.
3. The GTS 250 is old tech (g92), I wouldn't consider anything other than an ATI 5770 in the $150 price range.
4. Lastly, not sure if that Zalman cooler is worth $50+ if you can get 120mm tower coolers for the same price or less.
