Please Suggest me Heat Sinker and Fan

My goal is to have a quiet system; without losing life and performance.
I am not going to over clock.
I had a Intel Retail Version of CPU Heat sinker and Fan.
Which came with RMA CPU. That fan lasted for a 3 days. :|
For no GOOD reason; Fan JUST DIED.:shocked:
I am going to get a NEW FROM INTEL.:|
Same time, I am thinking I should get some thing better my own.

The Beetle is too monstrous, the sonic tower not so effective yet consuming alot of space. It would be good if you're aiming for silence, but nothing else since it's designed to be fanless (only near an exhaust fan).

Get the XP-90.

I love my Beetle, this is the best heatsink I've owned. It's HUGE, but it looks daam cool. And keeps my 3200+ Winnie running at a chilly temp.

from reviews I've read, the xp-90 cools *slightly* better then the Beetle. For me it came down to visuals. I think the xp-90/120 both look sleak. But the Beetle won for eye candy so I bought it.

I run the fan at the lowest settings, around 1700rpm. I'm not a quiet freak, some might complain about noise. But I honestly can't hear it. At full speeds it's pretty loud. But @ 1700 my CPU idles around 30 so I don't need more.

You can't go wrong with either. BUT... if you go with the Beetle and plan to run dual channel memory, you might have to run the beetle with the fan facing the rear of the case, as on some MB's the layout causes the beetle to block slots 3/4. Not sure about air flow, but mounted facing back, if you have a rear case fan might hamper the cooling effectiveness of the beetle? Any fan experts care to fill me in on the effects? I was going to mount mine like that, but the Beetle fan would have been 2 inches away from my 120mm fan.

Zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu works well for me - good cooling, low noise
