here is my life the past 42 hours

hour 0: My replacment IBM HDD decides to start scratching. I know this sound and decides to move all my MP3, Programs, Schoolwork, Email, etc to WDC 100gig.

hour 2: IBM dies. Me installes WinXP Pro to WDC, and all other programs Visual Studio, Photoshop, Office 2k3...

hour 7: PC up and running with flying colors. I go to sleep.

hour 16: I wake up and start working on school work Enigineering Lab. then I go to school.

hour 24: I come home from school and begin CIS Lab that is due Jan-28. I work till around 12:30am.

hour 31: I wake up to check email. Computer doesnt respond. Says its missing DLL files then just dies. It will not format, partition, or be recognized. I almost loose it, the WDC is dead.

hour 33: I go to school to finish lab (

hour 41: While I am at school I call WDC my drive is not under warrenty. I call IBM my drive is not under warrenty. I have no PC. I lost everything. I then finish the lab; (still dont believe I got it done so fast).

hour 41:20: I post this message, on school pc.

what are the odds of that happening? I would really like to know?

They're hard drives. With old work school work, most of which you never need again. You're out what, maybe $200 at most? Everyone who's ever been in a car accident has had it much worse than you. Your definition of hell is right about on par with most people's definition of "lousy day".

I did have back ups on my school CIS account, but they deleted some of the accounts by accident last month. I just never burnt them to CD.
