Really, how is that? Maybe if you weren't reciting the constitution, you would know that these judges are appointed for life. And maybe if you took your head out of your A$$ for a minute, you would know that the judge who wrote the ruling is a Nixon appointee.Originally posted by: LH
But as I said, you liberals better hope it gets overturned by election time, if not, theres going to be a right majority on all the courts, even the 9th, before the end of Bush's first term.
Maybe you should take your head out of your A$$. Judges can be removed.
Article III, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution states:
The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office.

When will rightwingers learn. Just because someone's politics are different from yours, that's not good enough reason to impeach someone.

Where does the 225 million "Christian" figure come from? The census bureau doesn't give this information.
The nearest figure I can find is about 150 million adults. So for about 50-75 million people, the expression "under God" has no meaning whatsoever.
changed it too during the Red Scare era of our Country.

If I hadn't of found out that the words "Under God" were added in 1954 I wouldn't have cared. I truly believe that the Pledge should be as it was intended and not what Frightened Politicians changed it too during the Red Scare era of our Country.I also view the words "Under God" to mean whatever God you believe in.

Christian church adherents were defined as "all members, including full members, their children and the estimated number of other regular participants who are not considered as communicant, confirmed or full members."

EDIT: In other words, those who never attend church but were baptized are counted as part of that 225 million.

The fact that almost every single legal expect thats been on air be it on ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, MSNBC, has said this will get overturned before it gets to the Supreme Court, should tell ya something apoppin... Its not going to stand... Theres a 1983 precedent that the USSC could use as well.
When a court has 27 or its 29 rulings overturned, its obvious they are way out of touch with the population.
For the past 20 years pollsters have polled 85-96% of people believing in God. Yes polls can be skewed, but people that do not believe in God, are a small minority, comparitive to those that do believe in God.
I'll file that under "Who Cares?"has said this will get overturned before it gets to the Supreme Court, should tell ya something apoppin... Its not going to stand
Pat Robertson does. Tune in to the 700 Club for his precise opinion.I'll file that under "Who Cares?"
