Plextor 16x/10x/40x $18x.xx Shipped (Not sending it to me) !!! any one else?

This is in relation to the deal that was posted by Djchemistry..

I ordered my Plextor 16x10x40 on Tuesday and they told me that it was in stock at thier main warehouse and that I should recieve it by April 3rd. I used the pricematch and the 40/200 coupon.
Well today I got a call and they said that they were no longer in stock! So I asked when they would have them and I was told they are a regular carried item and they would be getting more....BUT, that my CC was not charged and I would have to reorder when they were in stock again.
Has anyone else had this problem?Has anyone recieved thiers?
I already talked to some, but got nowhere with them. I am planning on calling again tonight...I want this drive. It don't make sense to me that 2 days later they are out of stock. Does this mean that it took 2 days for my order to get to thier warehouse?

Does anyone know of a comparable drive that I could request? Or is this the only 16x that they have?
Does anyone think that I should fight for this, or should I just move on?

they said they had like over 2000 in stock on Tuesday night.
that sounds fishy.
remember try to get a US girl to talk to you instead of a Canadian
the Canadian CSR will check throughly on the websites if the item is instock or not.

It is Staples that is saying that they don't have anymore. It does seem fishy to me also. But I don't know if it is me or not.
Also..Xmen...How is that ripping them off. I PMed and used a coupon.
It just seems to me that they don't want to ship. Especially if they had 2000 on tuesday.
I just want to see if anyone else had this problem....

I received mine 3 weeks ago. Received next day, even though I was told 3-5 days for deliver. I guess too many people bought this at $170-$190 when their price is $347. The price will always go down. Just wait for a month or 2 you can get it at this price with no coupon and PM.

Don't close the order. Just let the order open. The open order will still shows the total price of this purchase. Once you close the order, you have to place a new order when Staples have the drive in stock. At that time, however, you may not able to PM this drive again since it is possible another retailer you PM with has the drive out of stock or the price goes up again.

Too Late Taz...They told me that my order would be cancelled, because thier system is not set up to do back-orders.

anyone know of any other 16x CDRW's that staples may have, to give me as a replacement?
