plextor 8/20 and CD Clon

I just got plextor 8/20 (new) and it is manufactured in Jan 99 but it has firmware 1.03.

Anyone know if this works with CD Clon?
It backed up my diablo 2 play Cd without problem, I assume that means it works.

But at CD Clon site it say it must be Manufacture after March 99.

Anyone has this drive. This is real plextor not imation.

You'll need to update the firmware to 1.07. Bought a Imation and changed the BIOS ID String to a Plextor. Upgraded 1.03 to 1.07 and Clone CD works. Download it here...

It was manufactured March 99. I use CloneCD 2.5.6.2 with no problem all. Here another site you many find interesting for the Plextor and Imation

If you do a bit by bit comparison of the firmwares, there is no difference. Hopes this helps.

BTW, bought 2 of these Imations last January for about $150 each and use them with DiskJuggler 2000. I can make 2 CDs in 9 minutes, after making a disk image. Works with Plextor DiskDupe too...
