Staples will add around $11 to to the purchase for second day shipping at buy.com and then around $10 sales tax. so you aren't getting as good a deal as thought. But still a nice drive for the money

Just got mine, cant wait to burn, they didnt charge me overnight because I argued that it could not be here overnight. So I paid roughly $117 for it. Always wanted a Plextor now I cant wait to burn.

Staples Sucks there not even worth wasting time with they shuffle there products around so much put a Iomega 8x4x32 in cart at 2 am now its out of stock and they dont even carrie that plexter your talking about at least in my area code. i have $110 staples cash card and I want my freakin cash so I can go elsewhere and buy!!

anyone know how this drive compares to the sony drive that was posted yesterday ($99 after rebate with 6 free cd-r's)?

I got the Sony drive. I heard that the Sony drive is good but the software for it is horrible. This Plextor should also be fine, as all Plextor's are. Both have a 4mb buffer, which is the most important feature when it comes to burning. With the Sony, however, I think that it's fine if you get Nero or EZ CD Creator.
