Well, what do you need this for? meaning what sort of work do you use that computer for? Unless you are doing any graphics work or playing 3D games, the Radeon 8500LE, although a fantastic card and recommendation, is not needed for normal office/WP type work or surfing. If all you use the machine for is some web surfing, email, MS office, and even a few light non 3D intense gaming, then your card exact card can be replaced for like under $30.
Radeon 32mb at newegg for $27.00
This Geforce 440 card is a little bit better and can handle some light gaming. It's $30 after $20 mail in rebate.
Otherwise if you want to ramp up the graphics a bit on that old comp for some FPS games, the Radeon 8500LE would be optimal. It would be about the best card you could efficiently use on that T-bird anyways. IMO opinion though, I'd probably get the gforce MX card and use that price difference to get a 256mb chip of RAM for $20. But if it's just a great vid card you want, that 8500LE is far better then the Radeon 32mb or the geforece MX se. The R8500LE is even a decent card to put into any near future computer purchase if thats a consideration.
