I own two of the "grey" PNY Turbo USB 3.0 256GB drives, one's still in the package. I don't think that I own any of the 128GB, although I might have bought one once.

The ones I have (the 256GB), came pre-formatted FAT32, and they are SLOW. Like, 15MB/sec write speeds, in a USB3.0 port.

I've heard that if you re-format them to NTFS, they run quite a bit faster. I'll have to try that with the other one.

These appear "white", so perhaps they are a newer version. I don't know what the speeds are on the white ones.

Hopefully this "white" 256GB are similar speeds...

I finally received the "white" 256GB. Ran some preliminary tests through CrystalDiskMark

256GB "White" Sequential Q32T1 "2GiB" 89.03MB Read / 59.85MB Write
128GB "Gray" Sequential Q32T1 "2GiB" 194.4MB Read / 73.14 Write

The read speeds are way different, and the write is slower on these "white" PNY Turbo drives. I'm not sure if the "gray" 256GB are relative speeds, as I do not own a gray 256GB one.

Speeds are quite disappointing on the "white" PNY Turbos...
