PNY 7900 GS Temp question

Hey all, I just put in a new pny 7900 gs into my c2d system and the idle temperature according to nvidia's panel is 51C!!!! that seems awfully high. i'm not overclocking anything and this is a brand new installation of win xp with the newest drivers.

is this normal? or am i gonna have to reseat the hsf and apply some as5?

It's not too hot. IIRC the throttling temp is 130C.
My PNY 7900GS stock is idling at 45C.
Now is running 575/1400 MHz stock voltage, idle/load temp 47C/57C.
