Holy Smokes! What the heck is going on with these 8800GTS prices? I was just about to buy a BFG 8800GTS/320MB because I thought the price was so good, but this is getting scary. I'm afraid to buy anything for fear of missing a chance to save another $20.

seeing as BFG has a true lifetime warranty and PNY is only 2years I would pay the extra $20 (or more) for the BFG.

At a price like this I'd rather go for 640MB version. They go for as low as $360 on newegg after MIR. I'd rather spend extra $60 to get twice the memory for higher resolutions/AA/AF settings.

Looks like it's actually $299 after instant and mail-in rebates. Still not too bad if you're looking to get into the 8800-series. Tax would kill any chance at a hot deal, though. Better to watch for a deal on the 640MB part for $350-ish.

Some people don't like dealing with rebates...

All the $299 - $320 8800GTS 320's on Newegg are really attractive for them.
