Umm, both the ones I found and purchased included Call of Duty...

QnD

Yes, I looked thru the back, blue PCB's.

That's odd. Cool, but odd that you still got CoD AND the 5900U. Since the CoD promo was supposively "limited".

Well I got one in CC Everett, Wa.
Man this is the heaviest vid card I ever picked up, Green PCB and Massive black heat sinks both sides, it takes up 2 PCI slots to fit in the back of the pc (it's almost 1.75" thick) OMG.
Not a steal but I think it's a hell of a bang for the buck.
Thanks Op!!!!

There is a small opening on the box,all you need to see is in that hole Green pcb and black heat sink.

Reports on FW are saying that the card is indeed taking the 5950 bios flash just fine (with the 4.41 flasher). Use the PNY bios to make sure VIVO works properly. Since the 5900Ultra cards are coming with the 5900SE BIOS, it might be a good idea to at least flash the proper 5900Ultra BIOS on it. Not sure if it makes a difference in performance, but you'll at least get the right card listed prior to the POST (shows as 5900SE at boot up, but Windows does identify it correctly as the 5900Ultra).

Picked one up yesterday, very nice. Didn't have time to flash it yet, but did initial benchmarks and was very impressed. My 4200 128MB gets to head on over to my wife's rig now.

Glen Allen, VA CC and CompUSA were no goes.

I'll be back in Virginia Beach this weekend, but it's really starting to pan out that this deal is a west coast aberration.

Ran all over Austin looking. No-go up north at CC, Compusa, and Frys. But, even though it showed OOS online, there was 1 left at the south CC. Picked it up and it had the HS visible thru the window. Done deal. Had them PM to Frys, but then they said I wouldn't get the $30 rebate because they had to PM. Is that true?

A 5900 ultra for $169 would be very nice (that's what I paid for my ti4200 back in Sept '02). I don't see them dropping that low for a while, even after the new cards hit the streets.

Lucky bastard.

Two blue PCBs at Nashua, NH CC... The one I had the guy pull out of lockup at CompUSSR was blue as well, but there were about 5 on the shelf.

There was 1 5900SE box left in the CC near NorthStar Mall in San Antonio. Had a 5900 ultra in it, I already bought one of these Tuesday so didn't need it.

For those that got in on it, Fry's just advertised the PNY 5900SE for 179 again today (at least they did here in Austin). Try to go back and PM. 110% pricematch from 179 is 161+tax, then -$30 rebate makes a final of about $143.

Popped mine in last night and ran it at 505/956 and got 6000 on 3dmark03. Quite a nice jump over my old ti4200 (it got 1780). Far Cry demo looks stunningly gorgeous.

So far I have checked the following, all with no dice:

Circuit City; Lynnwood, WA
Best Buy; Lynnwood, WA
Best Buy; Bellevue, WA
CompUSA; Totem Lake, WA
CompUSA; Bellevue, WA

I did also go to the Bellevue Circuit City. They had 2 SE's in the case, however after waiting for 20 min for someone to "find keys" I had to leave. So who knows if they have it or not.

So is this the blue PCB version?

Got up early and started working on the card. I'll spare you the details, suffice to say I installed and flashed it to the 5950 Ultra bios and got the latest drivers. Here are the intial results on my AMD system:
2500+ O'Ced to 200x11
Geil 2x256 PC3500 2-3-3-7
Fresh XP SP1 install on 2x80gig PATA Raid
5950 Oc'ed to a stable 524/1000 core/memory

3DMark2003 at default settings scored 6408.

Initial impressions: Eh. I'm a little dissapointed in the OC on the card right now. Some time next week its going into the Koolance case (great FW deal BTW) that I picked a few weeks back. I'm going to pair it with a new ABit NF7S and the Mobile 2500+. Maybe that'll help it to get up a bit higher. Although the 3D2003 score is the highest I've gotten, my softmodded 9500 isn't far behind, and is still holding my best score on 3DMark2001. Even my my AIW 9700 (in my P4 2.4 12x250 5:4)is scoring in the same neighborhood with a modest overclock.

This card is still a very warm deal. If your in the market for a Nvidia 5700 or ATI 9600, you should just get any 5900 that you get for less than $160. If you can get this particular deal ( and your cash flow allows for the rebate wait) go for it! When some games that take advantage of the extra memory (Doom?)come along the deal might get a wee bit hotter.

Aloha guys,

In Hawaii, CompUSA had only the blue PCB as did the CC. I bought one from CC anyway and flashed it to the 5950u 128mb. The heatsink on this card is very big so I believe it should be okay to run it like this. I will check next week anyway. Perhaps it take a little long to reach Hawaii.

I have a newb question about the hardware with this thing. Is that "Y" cable thing this came with for the dual monitor or what? The manual says it's a s-video cable but never saw one like this before with dual out put?

The ones that I know you use the DVI connector with an adaptor for the second screen. Y-cable won't work because you are not duplicating the same screen.
